1250k fxp per branch at 6 branches
roughly looking at 90 crates for all 6 branches
give or take 10-15 crates.. hard to put a solid number on it really)

I use 4 stacks per giant baz nitch mission on dath. 4 missions are more than enough to get 300k combat xp, because you can make about80k combat xp per lair.
So it is 16 stacks per cap, which is 16/25=0,64 crates per 100k fs xp.
Each branch is 1225k fs xp. So 6 branches add up to 7350k. Add 100k for 2 novice boxes. You need 7450k fs xp to get all 6 branches and 2 novice boxes.
So you need to cap your combat xp 74.5 times..
Finally, you need 74.5x0,64 = 47.68, roughly 50 crates of thermals.
But in order to finish the lair with only 4 stacks, you need to use your grenades efficiently. Always try to gather 5 of them around you before throwing grenades.
And don't forget to use grenade powerups.
