I don't think it is fair to force people to master medic to unlock persuasion. Persuasion has nothing to do with medic so I believe there should be some sort of an alternate quest to unlock this branch. Combat branches have combat related tasks that any combat profession can complete, why can't persuasion have quests for people with a profession otther than medic?
Even if we could accept the quest as a novice medic and get a doctor to help us out this could be a fair tradeoff.
Please sign this, SOE is being too restrictive with this quest.

well im glad to see the post.... I thought i was going nuts. This is crazy to need medic for persuasion. Its like going to the captain for a ranged accuracy and he tells you, " You need unarmed combat to do this quest." What I want to know is, who is the the dope that dropped the ball on this one

what other profession would you suggest? persuasion doesn't have anything to do with combat... nor crafting. although i agree with you. i think they were just out of choices.

Politician would be good, but has a limited number of people who could do it if you have to master. (Though novice could be good.) But what ability would you link in? It's not exactly like placing gardens or setting city focus would work in a quest... unless they added a Force-based city-focus? Anyway, I'd say it'd also fit Entertainer, which would probably be easier to fit in..maybe make the quest revolve around 'improving morale for thosehelping the village' or something like that?

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic when he suggested politician. Was pretty funny, tho.

Dunno, I'd say Novice Entertainer 4xxx. Figurethe Jedi-To-Behas to be mighty persuasive to convince someone that those hairstyles look good

The persuasion branch should not be limited only to master medics! A 2nd NPC is needed for this quest.

My last reply was a joke but here is my real suggestion. We are all familiar with the new entertainer quests and this is similar.
After accepting the quest from the NPC, you receive a horn or flute type instrument that was crafted from a force crystal. The "force crystal flute", as I like to call it, is only capable of playing a new, sad song. The quest is to persuade X number of FS players to listen to you play this song. Anyone can listen and hear the music. The FS players hear the music *and* the sad story of the village of Aurellia told via the force.
If the FS player listens to the entire song, they will be asked if they will help the village. If they say yes, then you get credit towards the second level of the persuasion quest (in which you have to convence Y number of players (half of X?) to help the village.
Not only does this give an alternative method of getting this branch but also adds new content that varies based on the audience.

I have a ton of sense xp from ch,scout and have absolutly no use for it because im not master medic I only convert it because im accumulating it and hoped something might change and I could use it.
another solution might be allowing us to use this xp for vehicle control, but I would rather have persuasion.
dont know what they were thinking sometimes, get rid of the prefession grind only to force you to grind professions again lol

I agree that the requirements are poor, but the reward is pretty awesome if you can keep it alive, (the plant) I already killed mine, and now I want to do it with my alt, but I dont want to master medic, but I want the plant........ grrrrr
Maybe lower the requirements just to unlock, but keep the plant reward for a master medic, or even doc, I thought you needed to me at least 0003 doc to complete it?
