i just killed mell, started my 1st padawan trial, it was out of bela vistal on corellia, i had to kill 20 baz nitches. killed them all and returned to bela vistal like the mission says, and they guy is no longer there. i logged off for 20mins, and he still doesnt show up.

couple questions,

1) should i wait for a server reset of logout for a longer period of time? or should i just chalk it up to being bugged and reset the mission

2) if this isa bug, oh well they happen. are bugs common in padawan trials? i have heard the rori ones are bugged, but how about the rest? is this something i should expect as a common occurence? just wondering how long i should expect to complete the padawan trials.

thx

When I completed the padawan trials, some were bugged, mainly the type of problem of which you have stated. Just reset that trial at a shrine, rule of thumb, missions on rori and talus are bugged the most.

I had several quests where the NPC was not there. On one quest it happened twice. Was lucky and it never happened on any of those kill 20 X quests though.

So resetting them don't count as failure?

Thanks

i had same problem, i went back and killed 1 more baz nitch, went back to the planet to talk to npc, and it was there, i had to do this 3 times because everytime i got close to the npc, i was aggroed by chunker punks, each time i was aggroed the npc disappeared, i was finally able to make it to the npc without being aggrpoed and completed the quest

When I was doing the trials I had the NPC not show up a couple times but I never reset the trial. I just used /target (npc name) and usually was able to find him someplace else nearby. In one case he wasnt nearby so I traveled off planet then back and he was there again.

When i did my trials i had to reset 1 time. Other then that mine went smooth as pie. I even did a couple on Rori with 0 problems. I would though if you ever get one to go to Rori and since you are at the shrine then reset the mission to get a new planet. Resetting doesn't affect you at all. If you fail a quest 3 times you will have to re-do them all but resetting isNOT a mission failed.

Just keep resetting it. I have read people needing to literally reset the mission 8-10 times. Sucks it is happening but just hang in there and keep trying.

If the NPC goes away your only option is reset. I had the do the Kill 20 Flampsuset(sp?) trial THREE times and kill 60 of those boogers. This is the hardest quest because you can't take a mission for them. BTW it was a Rori mission. After I read the boards for help and found out about the problem, I immediately reset any rori misson as soon as I got it. One more thing, if you get aggroed when you are near the NPC, he will despawn and you have to reset. When you approach your NPC, make sure there is no one around that might get you aggroed because of negativefaction standing. This happened to me on Talus just as I was ready to complete the mission.

Another tip, if you take a mission that you have to travel to Rori and do the mission there...it is very likely to be bugged.

So...meditate on Rori so you have to travel off Rori to do the actual mission.
