Thread: Questions about melichae exit quest

Ok I have a few questions about this quest.

1.Do you have to do the majority of the dmg to have mission success?

2.When you get the disk or somthin do you activate it on the planet the old man came to you or can you activate it on any planet to do melichae quest?

There is no Disk involved with Mellichae.

You will get the Mellichae mission on the planet where the Old Man comes to visit you.

So if you WANT to do the quest on Corellia, hang out on Corellia.

The Old Man comes to visit you and gives you a Data Pad waypoint labeled "Find Mellichae" or whatever.

To Summarize even more, this will be your next few steps:


1. Train your last box in the Village.

2. Wait for Old Man.

3. Old Man comes up and talks to you and gives you Waypoint to Mellichae.

4. Go kill Mellichae

5. You get Waypoint to a Mysterious Shrine to go meditate at.

6. Go to Shrine, KNEEL, and select "Meditate" off of its radial menu. (Has nothing to do with Teras Kasi Meditate)

7. Shrine will give you a mission to complete.

8. Rinse and repeat: Shrine --> mission --> shrine --> mission....

9. The ninth mission will be to build your own Lightsaber.

-Using any generic crafting tool build a "Lightsaber Crafting Kit"

- Use the Light Saber Crafting Kit to create two "Refined Crystal Packs" (don't need crystals for these)

- Use the Light Saber Crafting Kit to create Light Saber. (still dont need a crystal yet)

- "Open" your Light Saber and NOW add your color crystal.

- best light saber I could make was 143 damage and speed 4.7. Yuch!

10. Finish the remaining missions from the Shrines.

11.You become Padawan and now have the ability to create a second toon on same server.

1. No, you don't have to do the majority of the dmg. Mel just has to kick the bucket.

You will most likely have friends with you also unless your a rifleman......so 2 other things you have to remember....don't die or you fail the mission (even if your friends kill him) and when mellichae kicks the bucket, you must be in the immediate vicinity or else you won't get credit for killing him (unknown whether you have to do any damage to him, I imagine you would have to). Also, it's a good idea to brind a doc that can rez with you..


anyway, if you brind a doc, and a rifleman and yourself....it's a easy quest....it's better if the doc is also a rifleman or TKM.....you have the rifleman use conceal shot to take out the crystals and all of the sith (except mellichae and daxtor).....once that's done, everyone charge in and drop mellichae and daxtor like a bad habit....dax is easy he doesn't use a lightsaber so your armor will be effective against him.....mellichae uses a lightsaber and armor will not protect you, so you can take it off to fight him if you wish, that will give you more regen on your secondary bars since you won't have the incumberance of the armor decreasing your HAM bars.


Personally, I'd take a lot of friends to make it easy as possible.....this is whathappens to mellichae when you take buddies.

Myself, I feel sorry for that Meatlump Buffoon who just happened to walk into the middle of 10 players beating up a Jedi.

FYI This didn't happen to me. I got no waypoint. I had to look up the waypoints in the FAQ. Other people have stated that they also didn't get a waypoint. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if they stopped giving you one. In either case all you need to do is go to any shrine, /kneel, and select Meditate from the radial men. BTW a lot of people don't know they need to /kneel.

I might be remembering wrong, but I somehow got the waypoint to the shrine near Bela Vistal (Corellia) and I don't remember looking it up. Though I did look up the shrine list here in the forums eventually,I think I was given the BV WP first. But since I am probably much older than the average player, I claim innocence due to memory loss!!
