Been gone for about 3 months, only about halfway into my templete.. Are nades still the most effecient way of gaining fs xp? (I realize, of course, you need to be grouped now however.. I assume?)
Danke.
Danke.

No nades are not as good to grind as they were before. They will pull the aggro to you and prob end up incappin ya. Just grind combat professions in a group

I would think grenades would work well ... once the creatures get split from the group, anyway. The problem is you won't be able to do additional non-grenade damage, so the rest of the group has to tae the load, slowing everybody down.

The problem is, any AoE weapon/skill draws aggro from the entire lair. A member of our guild would throw grenades and have the whole lair chasing him down till they incap him. If I threw my area heal to heal him, then they turned off him and aggroed me instead.
AoE is BAD if you dont know what your doing.

Im MBH/MSmug. What I do is stack spice/food use duelest stance and then nade as many as possable. After Ive managed to aggro half the planet, I Fiegn Death and they all go away. If you are in a group, make sure no one else attacks while you are nading, or they will feel the wrath.

Little addendum, a quick pro quo.

Ive been through a list of templates .I even gave merchant/dancer a go.
I finally settled for ranger/rifleman.
Ranger-Because of the 1.2mil cap on scout xp if very handy for senses
Rifleman-Because i have +15 rifle speed and T-21's cause nice damage for PvE(but i guess any combat profession would do)
I really think ranger is a great idea and may earn you some cash as well, Scout conversion is 8:1 i believe and is fairly fast if your in the right group
No matter what you do it will probably take you longer to grind now than before the CU.

But you don't get actual experience from using the grenades until the mobs die, right? So trying to do this solo is wasted, correct? Thanks.

You have to do it in a group. and if you have a good exping group they'll probably get pissed when you run up to a lair and nade the lair hitting every creature around then let them incap you so you can get your 5k combat from each kill. If you use only a nade to tap each one you won't get full combat exp if you help your group kill the creatures. Pretty crappy all around.

Since they've downgraded the hit damage amounts on various professions, have they also downgraded the xp conversion rates to balance the CU out?

Of course not. Why would they do something silly like balance out their nerf?
