Thread: The force is now with me two questions

Ok, so the title says it all.

1- Now that the force is with me, do I just need 24 boxes to get jedi padawan (not including trials)? I am switching careers and will be working extra hours. My wife and I also have our first child on the way. Needless to say, my game time will be short in the next six months. If I just got two boxes per phase, and put those in 12 different branches, would that suffice as meeting the prerequisite?

Simply put, is the requirement 6 branches, or just 24 boxes?

2- Does anyone know the formula for figuring how how many free unlocks I will get? I played since day one, but cancelled for a year. I was a hologrinder. I understand that if someone unlocked all their hidden profs, that they get six branches. So if I unlocked 4 of my hidden profs, does that mean I get 4 branches as my free unlock?

Thanks.

1. You will need 6 complete branches. Once you have 6 FS branches filled in, you're revisted by the old man who will give you the exit quest.

2. I don't know the formula for how many free unlocks hologrinding gives you. Once you get to the village, Paemos should tell you how many you get.

Thanks. Can I use those unlocks any time I want? I am thinking about grinding out xp while I have more time, and then using those unlocks when rl gets busier. So I am thinking on using them six months down the road. Didn't know if that was possible or not.

While you can hold off on using your free unlocks, your best bet is to use them at once. In order to make the FS grind as painless as possible for yourself, you should first plan out what 6 branches you want to unlock. After you've figured out which 6 you want, you should check what Phase they are available in. Looking at that, figure out what Phaseyour serveris currently on (always stickied to the top). Based on your server's current Phase and the branches you want to unlock, use your free unlocks on the branches that are going to make you wait the longest (i.e. if you have 4 unlocks, use them on the last 4 branches you will be able to unlock). If you want 2 phase 1 branches, 1 phase 2 branch, 1 phase 3 branch, and 2 phase 4 branches and your server is currently in phase 4, then use your 4 free unlocks on one of the phase 4 branches, the phase3 branch, the phase2 branch, and 1 of the phase 1 branches. That way you only need to do 1 phase 4 branch (in the current village phase), and wait 3 weeks to unlock your final branch in phase 1. The free unlocks come with free experience as well. When you choose your branch to unlock, the full 1.225 million force sensitive experience is given to you so that you can train that branch immediately. If you have 4 free unlocks, you are essentially given 16 free boxes already filled. It's best to use it earlier rather than later.

If you unlocked only 4 of your 8 hidden profs then you would get 2 free unlocks...

It was 6 professions, not 8. That's why we have to get 6 FS branches and not 8.

I'll try to clarify my first post.

1) Pick 6 branches that you want to unlock

2) Look here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Forcesensitive&message.id=638to find what phase those branches are available in.

3) Look here:http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Forcesensitive&message.id=14167 to find what phase the village onyour server is currently in.

4)Using the information from 2 and 3, use your unlocks on the last branches that will be available to you. If you have 4 free unlocks, use them on the last 4 branches that you will be able to unlock. That way you only have to wait the minimum amount of village cycles. If you want 1 branch from phase 1, 2, and 3, but you want 3 from phase 4 and your server's village phase is currently phase 1, use your 4 unlocks on the phase 3 and 4 branches you want. That way you just have to do the quest for phase 1 and wait 1 cycle til phase 2 for your final branch.

That better?
