Thread: The way to nade grind post-CU

I know not many are nade grinding.... but nade grinding can still happen with ease. anyone who is CL 1 can throw c-12's and this type of nade grinding will slow down the group by only a small amount. The blast radius (or distance the nade will affect and ultimately aggro a mob) is 30m. The glop is 2m and the thermal is 7 and the c-22 is 7 If i remember correctly. (The thermal detonators might be 30 too i think.. but can't remember for sure) Anyways this is how you do it and with practice and somewhat intelligent group members will be the fastest grind post cu.

1-stand a good 45m away from lair.

2-pull the closest mob to you (very important.. and make sure he is at least 35m from you.)

3-after pull shot wait till he gets right in front of the puller or tank

4-"nader" throws one grenade (i usually tell my group that the nader is always the person who owns the mission we are currently on) although in larger more powerful group you can let two people toss nades and it goes jsut as fast

5-everyone in group besides "nader" kills mob..

6-rinse and repeat

Now this is nothing as fast as it used to be pre-cu, but it is currently the fastest way i have found to grind.

Just a lil rough math for ya.

I capped rifles, pistols, and carbs in about8 hours with an easy grind (my group did rock though). That is 3.6milllion weapons xp = 120k fsxp or 15k/hr

Plus you get 360k of combat = 120k fsxp or 15k/hr

That is basically killing 600 mobs.

Now i grinded nades and capped in 2 hours. That is 900k combat =300k fsxp or 150k/hr

Basically killing 130 mobs

so here is the side by side.

weapons8 hours worth of grinding yields you 240k fsxp

nades 8 hours worth of grinding yeilds you 1.2m fsxp

I tried to find people to nade grind with me in a group and found out that people have been jsut running up to the liar and throwing a nade and expecting the group to kill all the aggroed mobs. This is not fun for anyone, and tends to get people really upset with you quick. And i found noone on my server who would even concider grinding this way. Although after a couple days i got a group of my friends to go out with me ( I actually had to pay them for thier time) and it worked flawlessly. The only time we got in trouble was on MO where currently they are spawning tons of pickets... so it was hard to find a 30m radius for us to stand on.

Please take this method and try it out. I was going to quit (or at least sulk for a while) knowing that i had a weapons grind in front of me all the way through 6 boxes to jedi. This isn't the fastest grind I've ever done but given the present circumstances I think its the best there is to offer now.

Please post when you have tried and tell me what you think of it..

Thanks

Whatever temp you want. You get the same xp for any grenade type and c-12s are easier to make, cheaper and anyone can use them.

Vasarian Brandy Master Swordsman, Master Doc
Ladi Deathstrike Master Commando, MBH, Pistoleer 0004.

Bagdes??? We don't need no stinking badges.

Very true, anyone can use a c-22. anyone who is a level one that is .. and thats everyone..haha

A couple things that seem to help but are not neccessary. A Creature handlers pet as tank andpullerwould help a lotor having a melee tank temp would help. but like I said not totally neccessary.

I noticed today at the village that my TKM, MSwords, and Nov Doc temp was a uber tank temp. (well at least compared to my MBH/MP/Nov Doc

It used to be Master Doc could easily out heal any damage you took, not anymore though.

Just dropping a side note to say a good def temp is never a bad idea... especially if you are jsut consumed with being a jedi adn nothing else (as I am).
