I thought they revamped the Way to become a Jedi to be more fun?

Well I can tell you travelling from The Village to Starport then to Endor then to the middle of nowhere and then back and repeat that 6 times. More if the supplies "are broken" like mind were. Whip's Phase 2 quest is by far the most least exciting quest ever! However the Reward is good. But I was just wondering if anyone else finds this quests just plainly annoying more then fun?

I too find that there is lack of imagination for those quests. Find simething long and terribly boring, and repeat 6 times. Plus, you're not even sure that the supplies will be there. I had to go to endor 9 times total.

I agree that those quests can't be something quick and easy, but i think that repeating the same boring thing over and over again doesn't make it any more fun.

The only quests i found interesting so far were the search and destroy. I still don't understand why they insist on putting that 24h timer twice, which is just wasting time, but at lease, using the tracking device is sorta fun. Wasn't just uploading a WP in a databad on another planet, swoop to it and come back.

But I agree with you that those quests are totally boring AND very long, which makes them painfull to do but, on the good side, there's only 6 of them to do over almost 5 months.

P.S. The padawan trial quests aren't much fun either i've heard.

I found the phase 4 combat quests extremely fun - getting a group together and blasting all those waves of Sith is the most fun I've had on the ground in ages

The quest may be boring but the reward is the best you can get at the moment. +2000 health post-CU is like getting double health depending on your Combat Level.

Even if you don't need the crystal, you can sell it for around 10-15 million on the trade boards.

So worth it. By the way, hit the Num Lock button on your keyboard and your vehicle will go into cruise control.

I find this is true about a lot of missions in SWG. I did3 of the4 themeparks in order to get 'glowy' and I cant see how anyone would ever be drawn to do them for any reason other than becoming jedi. The quests themselves are totatly inane. I have just as much fun running lines on a football field. (run 10 yards, touch the line, run 20 yards, touch the line, run 30 yards..) There were 3 kinds of quests with unoriginal and uninspiring storylines to go with them. 50% were kill these badguys that arent scaled to my level, return. 40% were click on the guy under the highlight and come back. 10% were the slightly interesting 'warehouse' missions. 'Slightly' because they threw a building into the mix of killing something and the fun of clicking on something.. ooh.

I know there are a lot of quests that are more interesting in the game.. Hell, quests from mission terminals are more fun, but these are areas featuring the most fabled places and the most interesting characters this game has to offer. Why wasnt I excited to have Han Solo call me 'kid'? Because he offered the same boring crap that 3P0 offered.

Maybe randomly generated missions just have no chance of being interesting? Maybe I'm spoiled from Warcraft where a great deal of development time was spent making TONS of quests with unique locations and interesting objectives (even if pulled from the pool of 'kill X' 'Collect X' 'Escort X')

Or just maybe they aught to go back and do it right. I did a lot of running lines in Tatooine's desert for an elephant man, a grease monkey, hell even a cook, all to be Jabba's errand boy. Give me something interesting to do Jabba! Ask me to smuggle some spices into Bestine without getting caught. Ask me to crawl into the Agrilat Swamps after some dirty scoundrel who dropped his cargo when a tie fighter looked at him funny. Dont just chuckle at me after I did all that work for you.

I don't think lucas arts owns the rights to "fun",i believe spielberg has the license on it. Royalties would hurt profit margins so they excluded fun from the village to cut costs.

I think the game engine doesn't allow for more interractive and fun quests other that "Go to this waypoint for me and guess what, i'll ask you that 30 times to make sure your bored and frustrated"

Someone should talk Spielburg into making games. Put some story and drama into things. The most (only?)dramatic game out right now I think is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Are you kidding me, have you played any of the Metal Gear games, they have way better drama the GTA:SA.
