Thread: Clarification Questions

I know, I know...this isn't an unlocking-the-second-character-slot forum but it is, frankly, the best place to ask this. I think. Please don't pelt me with over baked bread if I'm wrong. ^^;
I've been reading the guides just to help my friend do this Jedi thing and I noted that you get a second character slot. I figured that since he's already doing all this I might as well just tag along for the ride. So, here are my questions.
1) At what point does this second character slot open? Is it after complete FS is achieved? Kind of fuzzy on this point.
2) The FAQ said that doing all this just to unlock the second character slot would leave me with 24 points of FS that I could not remove. Is this still true at this time? If true do FS points, or skills, take up normal character skill points?

1 You get the second slot after completing the padawan trials..
2 Yes you need to keep your 24 skill points spent in FS this unlocks your jedi ..
