I just wanted to send out a little message to all the new players and the players who have just recently decided to pursue Force sensitivity.

I started a brand spankin' new character on 09/14/2005. Last night I became glowy as well as had a visit from the old man.

I turned the old man away for now, I am not ready for Sith. I will chat with him over the weekend.

So, the reason for my post:

With the recent changes in acquiring Force sensitivity it is very hard NOT to become glowy. Here is the SonGouki path and what I did, without even planning it, it just happened by playing the game at my leisure. I am writing this post to make sure the community is aware that getting glowy is easier than ever. With server transfers not allowing Force sensitives to move, you might want to be aware that you may be glowy and not realize it. Or you may want to avoid some items from the list to avoid being glowy.

Starting
1) Master a profession (Profession 1/1)
Tatooine
2) New Players Quests in Mos Eisley (Content 4/5)
3) Ben Kenobi’s Old Home (Jedi POI 1/3)
4) Sarlacc Pit (Dangerous POI 1/2)
5) Krayt Dragon Skeleton (Dangerous POI 2/2)
6) Escape Pod (Easy POI 1/5)
7) Lars’ Homestead (Easy POI 2/5)
Naboo
8) Theed Waterfall (Easy POI 3/5)
9) Amidala’s Beach (Easy POI 4/5)
10) Dee’ja Peak Waterfall (Easy POI 5/5)
Dantooine
11) Ruined Jedi Temple (Jedi POI 2/3)
Yavin IV
12) Hidden Temple of Exar K’un (Jedi POI 3/3)
Lok
13) Nym’s Themepark (Content 5/5)

I estimate I could have gone from naked newbie to glowy in just a day if I tried hard enough...so please be aware...

I startedmywookiee and completed the fs grind with him by week two. I decided to sacrifice a week of human contact so I didn't have to worry about grinding at all until my jedi once I heard about the double xp. I unlock phase 2, cant wait.

At least they posted useful information that happens to be stickied... not bugging people for answers that are in the stickies... eh?

May I ask just HOW you completed the ENTIRE fs grind with a NEW toon in just 1 week!? You would have needed tons of nades and armor costing a **edit**load of money which normal n00bs aint got...seems physically impossible...

And if you did grind out all the xp needed in one week...DAMN YOU! Peeps like you that sqrewed up the combat trade ratio....thank you sooooo much for effectilvly doubeling my darn fs grind.,.../bow3

Some of us do this the way it is ment to be, but since fuzzballs such as yourself ruin gameplay for others..the reason Im mad is that since the combat ratio is 30-1 now, I would normally be done by now...and I started grinding fs after the ratio changed...

/frustrated

Did I say that I used nades? I didn't toss one nade during my grind. My wookiee was my second toon, I decided to delete my old character and I had equipment waiting for my wookiee. I ground out BH/CH to grind and I got enough xp for master reflexes and 2 branches of senses. It was very easy with quadruple xp.

You don't want to get glowy if you've only just started the game though. You don't get to know the game as much before you're moved into mindless grinding.

I wish I'd been glowy for 4x xp, but they weren't granting master badges so I couldn't finish the requirements to get glowy. And reb themepark was bugged for me most of that time as well

I've been playing since December 28th 2004 (Ignore my register date, I never knew these forums existed until a few months back) and I'm pleased I didn't go glowy too early, although it would have been nice to use 4x xp for the grind. I've had enough time to get to know the game quite well, I've enjoyed what I've been doing and I'll finish my FS phases in Phase 3 (I would actually be done by now but I missed two phase questsout, for which I'm still kicking myself)

Um, yeah, you totally missed the point of my post. I was wanting to alert players to the ease of becoming glowy, when it may not be the path you want or your character may not be ready for a visit. Either way, if you ignore the old man you would be fine, but if you spoke with him by mistake you would be constantly hounded by CL78 sith. Now think back when you were low level and two red dots constantly followed you around...

Oh, and thanks for sticking your nose in a topic that did not need you in the first place.
