That's an affirmative.
You have to decide your template that allows you to have 24 SP for the FS skills.
If you don't have enough SP you will have to drop regular profession skills as you Progress.

just something to consider, TKM will help you a whole lot more when you're a padawan than comando.

That is correct, you have to start dropping skill boxes to pick up FS skills.
Go here to build your character just leave yourself 24 pts to do FS.

There isn't a cap of FS xp is there?
If there isn't a cap then get all your fs xp then drop 24 skill points and train the 24 all at once.

Isn't there a decay on the FS xp if you don't use it to fill boxes fast enough?
no, and you don't lose it if you die in pvp, or pve, its not jedi xp. My point is just that I myself, having lost a handful of items in vendor bugs last spring, lost credits in a bazaar terminal bug last winter and never got paid for missions on dantooine that I completed (late spring bug) would not trust to hold onto too much XP thinking it could never accidentally go away only to be further disappointed by a CSR (who doing their job) cannot give it back.

You don't really have to start dropping skill points to pick up force FS skills, it's just a option to convert your existing points that you have left over. Also, I took a look at the character builder chart where the link lead. Very impressive.
However, I noticed that the professions started off with 0 skill points to learn. This is incorrect being that now each profession needs exactly 50,000 force sensitive experience points. The other tree blocks are incorrect as well. Although, it's still a good reference to show what each block does. At least I don't have to sign into my character account to see what I need to work on next. ![]()

The builder is half right
It takes 0 skill point to train Novice Combat Prowess, then 1 skill point for every box above that.
You are right in the fact that it takes 50k FS XP to train that novice box though.
So the skillpoints on the builder are correct but the XP is wrong.
So you can still get a good idea about the points you use, but when you run the report the XP required will be off.

The correct experience points should be:
Novice for all Force Sensitive Professions: 0 Skill Points, 50,000 Force Sensitive XP points.
Level 1 -1 Skill Points, 175,000 Force Sensitive XP points.
Level 2 -1 Skill Points, 250,000 Force Sensitive XP points.
Level 3 -1 Skill Points, 350,000 Force Sensitive XP points.
Level 4 -1 Skill Points, 450,000 Force Sensitive XP points.
Master for all Force Sensitive Professions 0 Skill Points, 300 Apprenticeship Points (Recently chaned to 300 for all profession with exception of Pilot).
Also, you do have a choice to convert your XP for regular profession to your force sensitive profession. I noticed a post earlier that said that you had to but I rather put a emphase on choice. However, when you do there is a ratio. I had about 900k of Unarmed Combat XP in which there is a 30:1 ratio meaning for every 30 Unarmed Combat Experience I put in I only get 1 force sensitive experience. By the way you can imagine my shock when I saw that not to mention that my mouth gaped open for at least 10 seconds. I'm beginning to see now the methods the developers used to keep Jedi Rare.

i'm pretty sure you can store at least enough xp for 2 full trees.
The only question I have is, how safe do you feel walking around with 2mil+ force xp that could just go away from rare bug nobody has found yet?
