I heard that they are removing the village from the game for the new FS system on Trials of Obi-Won. Can someone tell me if this is true or if this is a rumor that is totally false.

They have not released any info on the new FRS yet other than it is awaiting approval. Many of us are waiting for it and it seems to be the make it or break itfor many of us.

Shrug, it's just realy a rumor right now. They basicly said their using obi-wan as a means to market (Need a popular topic for launch of a new expansion). Of course their going to draw more people into this game if they say you can get quests from the late great obi-wan ghost. Who knows, hope it's not. Havn't gotten my 6 boxes unlocked yet so im not worried.

I can confirm that they are not removeing the Village right now, theFRS and the Village are totaly separate.

I have all the xp i need and 5 of 6 boxes unlocked. I'm not finding excueses, i just hate to see all that grinding go to waste, and have to start over agian.

I just heard this from a friend in-game, and it would really make me upset if i find out that all that grinding and all that work was for nothing and have to start from scratch when i'm only 3 weeks away from finishing.

Besides, i do not belive that they will introduce such a radical change in an expansion in which you MUST purchase to access and be able to play. People who do not buy the expansion will be left out of the jedi grind and it would unbalance the game. If anything, they'll most likley introduce this in a publish or a patch.

Just out of curiosity, what do the devs have to say about this, or is the paying public suppose to just keep guessing?

I would truly like to know that all my grinding and all those boxes weren't for nothing. Please, Devs, answer me.

The village is staying there has been no talk of it changing or going away. The FRS (Force Ranking System) is what most full temp jedi are waiting for.

/sigh i meant to respond to this earlier today...

no, the village is here to stay. The devs have already patched out an entire revamp to the jedi system that they believed was more in line with what we as a community wanted...there will be no more revamps, they have revamped combat, the jedi system, squad leader, ranger (soon). The only way there will be a new jedi system is if there is ever an SWG 2...

Believe what you want but the logistics of it are pretty apparent. The dev team that coded the new jedi system no longer even works on the game, so thats another challenge...your grinding is safe
