I just want to use my reminaing 6 skill points for some extra bonuses so I finally went out to the village. I picked up some mission from Captain Sarguilloto kill so and so many attackers. I completed that (gone from journal). Then I talked to Paemos and since I didn't know what was what I unlocked senses, reflexes and combat all at once and converted an awful lot of experience, put mostly all I could into reflexes since I want some extra defense. Got something like 270k or whatever reflexes experience now.
Eventually I found Noldanand I try to learn some melee defense but he won't teach it to me. He says nothing, just that nothing happens when I click "ok"
I walk around some in the village and talk to other villagers, and and the only real clue anyone gives me is to go talk to the elder Rohak. He tells me to talk toCaptain Sarguillo, and heclaims that I,apperently, ambusy helping other villagers?
What I am I doing wrong?

ok first off . . . by best advise is to check out the FS guide sticky thing.
now on to the rest
to be trained in a certain aspect, you must unlock it. To unlock it, you must do a quest. When the quest is over, you will be able to train in that skill branch. SO doing a quest for the Capt won't let you train in just any skill branch . . . only the branch he was offering. Best bet is . . talk to Paemos and ask him what aspects you are ready to learn . . . see what he says.
Also remember that the NPCs give out multiple tasks to complete a single quest. For example . .the Capt will ask you to patrol 10 timeto complet the quest . . so doing one patrol doesn't open the branch. Try talking to him again . . he might just have more work for you.

I had a friend that was in the same situation where he was told he had completed the quest and could not train. You have to get in touch with a CSR and pray you get one that knows what they are doing. They will unlock a box for you. Do not be suprised if it is not the one you want. They gave my buddy the wrong one. But he will fix his FS template later.

So Paemos lets you open up the skill trees even though you can't actually train boxes yet?
And no, none of the NPCs in the village got anything for me to do. They just keep referring me to eachother. There is nothing in my journal.

Yes . . witht he appropriate FS XP you can open up all the Novice boxes for the different FS tress. But to train in an actual branch you have to complet a quest.

*sigh* well guess I'll visit the village again and see if anyone will speak to me and actually give me a quest.

I was only giving you a hard time - you need to figure out which quest it was that you completed for Sarguillo, and which phase you were in. If you completed the ranged defense branch, you can only train in that branch.

Oh I understand that, but I have an open Wookie Quest and that is what blocked us from getting training and comleting the quest. I was wondering the command we need in game to get the attention of a CSR to come and fix the issue not to sit on my couch and eat my food and drink my beer.
