ok now i have gotten the crystal from the old man i killed the sith ambushers about 3 or 4 times, each time i have gotten the loot but everytime i go to "use" the waypoint datapad it tells me "i cannot make sense of the information on the disc"

what does that mean? is my whole thing bugged im getting ticked off with everything in the damn game being bugged. its very annoying

i just had a horrible thought. i have NO PROOF OF THIS WHAT SO EVER... so do not quote me on it. i ONLY THOUGHT THIS UP MYSELF and have NO indication or PROOF that this is the case...

but what if
this is their artificial way of controling the Jedi population.
they have stated that they want to get back to the idea of Jedi population control
i DOUBT they will go back to a perma-death system idea (they might, but i doubt it)
what is the other solution?
gate the progress of Jedi even more by stopping them before they start....'can't make sense of the info in the disc'

they can't STOP people from becoming Jedi because they have PROMISED that EVERY PLAYER has an equal chance to become a Jedi. the CAN however slow the progress even more by gating the # of people who are allowed in the Village at any one time.

at this point let me reiterate my disclaimer that I MADE THIS UP MYSELF.

but it was still a horrible thought.

I heard some where that if you drop it in your house then pick it back up that it might work have you tried that?

Also just got the crystal for the first time I'm CL 71 Master TK Pike 4/4/4/0 and suggestion on food and spice that would be best to use for fighting the Sith?

since they are 5 levels higher than you they would get lots of damage bonuses and would kill you

so you would need one friend + food/spice

I'm not to sure about the controlling the jedi population idea, but I found a workaround for the bugged disc thing. This only works if the message you get is somewhere along the lines of "You must loot this item before you can use it".

I looted the disc three times from the sith, and everytime I tried to use it I got the above message. So what I did is;

When I killed the fourth set of Sith, I used the radial menu on the corpses to get to the loot viewing screen, before I picked it of the body. I clicked on the disc, chose the "use" option, and got the same message as before. I then looted the disc and it worked perfectly

well i destroyed the wp disc again and now im waiting for the old man again last time he visited me he gave me the crystal but it never showed up in my inventory.lol so ill just wait some more its been a few hours since i last destroyed the loot no isgn of the old man yet but hopefully soon. im gonna try what you said and use the radial menu and look at the loot and choose use there before actually looting hopefully it works.

i guess what really makes me mad about this is i had a buddy help me last time and instead of me getting ambushed he did lol cuz he was also waiting for the sith shadows and all his loot worked and hes now at the village and now im like a step behind where i was when he was gonna help me. that ticks me off man

i am VERY glad people have found work arounds for this.

i hated the thought of another artificial gating system
