About 3 weeks. It depends on the server tick count so the variable is how much actualdown time a server has. That is why it drifts among galaxies.The galaxies arenot sychronized.

What exactly are phases? and if im doing the village mission where i have to kill the sith and dont complete it when thephase changes will i have to start all over again?

Yes you have to complete the mission within the 3 week phase. So you have about another 2 weeks to kill those 50 Outlaws & 25 Pirates.
Doing this will unlock the tree for that skill.
You then have to fill those boxes with converted FS experience but there is no time limit on this, you can do it at your leasure.

U can do 1 out of 4 quests each phase and they usually shift in a 3 week count !!
U can fail a quest and try to do it again in this 3 week limit if u dont succed a quest in this 3 weeks u dont get an unlock to train a force sensitve branche (important u can only do 1 quest each phase so be carefull wat u going to do since u cant say its to hard ill try another quest )

If i finish the 1st quest then take a 3 month break and come back will i be able to do all the quests I missed?

yes, but you gave to wait every 3 wks to do 1 phase, so far we in phase 4, if im right phase 1 will start in a few days

Say you missed phase 2 and 3, you can't just instantly go back and do them. You'll have to wait for the cycle to come back around to phase 2 and 3 again to do the quests. Unless that's what you were asking, then yes.
