Greetings-

Someone told my mom that if you master all the professions, (this character was created post patch10 mind you) that you can get free unlocks at the village, and she is now in the grind of her life.

I get the feeling that this info is most likely erroneous, but she disagrees, it's the "friend of a friend of a friend told me" syndrome.

Can anyone confirm of deny this info?

What Zutan said.... for people that did the Holo profession grinding Pre Patch nine.. you may have gotten "Free" unlocks meaning the Phase was unlocked for you and the xp was filled.

They called them "free" but what it really was.. was a way for SOE to compensate players for the time they spent working their way through a system that they had to change. The closer you were to the correct Master professions you needed to unlkock the more you got free... I could be wrong about this number ... cause it was a while ago.. but I believe at the end it was 8 specific professions that you had to master to unlock Jedi.. you were only told 4 of them.

From that point on.. you had to guess "your" next 4 professions that were "your" specific unlock professions.. everyones required professions were different.

So I'm sorry to say.. your Mom is working on Mastering professions that were needed under the Old system. No longer in effect.

The only way now is to do the village quests.

Standing in the middle of a nest, using a /Unarmedspinattack2 every second Macro... actually was fun.
Not quite sure why... but I really miss it.

I think you all mean pre-publish 10, not 9. You could still unlock between 9 and 10, just not use the Jedi. So profession badges earned between 9 and 10 also counted.
