I guess, and make it so jedi death is jedi death :/
Or atleast on jedi death, they need to way 48-hours before they can clone / respawn. (I would take this as long as I can finish my current FS path without CU stuff

If I knew that the new FS "quests" would actually be more grinding, i would have wanted the hologrind. The quests are fun the rest is not.

At least with this system, we can grind as we want to. No more people dropping necessary professions (like weaponsmiths..I could find only *one* active weaponsmith on Starsider near the end of Hologrinding. Hundreds of empty vendors, though) just to grind other professions.

There shouldn't be any grinding at all.
But yeah, the holo grind was better in my opinion. They also need to get rid of the quests that you pretty much need a group to do.

Speaking as one of the few who did the hologrind apparantly, I'll say this much:
Hologrind = work as well.
Granted, this no longer new and definately not improved FS grind is completely fubarred with the Combat Upgrade.
If I had to choose I definately would rather have the hologrind over this mess.

I started two days after launch and gave up on the game because of hologrinding. Maybe if they'd said "go master 10 different professions of your choice," I could have dealt with it, but good God almighty, having to get master dancer of all things was way too much to take. Yes, I got it (though I don't even have the damn badge for it now, ironically, sinceI got it and dropped it before the badge system came out), but I quit the game in disgust shortly thereafter. Rifleman, pistoleer, bounty hunter, carbineer, swordsman, fencer, tkm, etc.; those I could take. Even architect and weaponsmith (I did those with an alt, just to build swords for my primary). But dancer? HELL NO!!
I'd much rather deal with six months (or even a year) of running around whacking things with a sword before I deal with even ten more minutes of enforced socialization in a cantina. No offense to everyone else, but I deal with people eight to ten hours a day. The last thing I want to do when I go home is have to deal with people for several more hours. A little bit here and there I can take (and even enjoy to some extent), but hours upon hours? Heck - that's why I have all the respect in the world for the AFK macro grinding entertainers... I wouldn't want to do it live again either.
Screw the damn hologrind. I came back only because I heard they'd gotten rid of it, and IMO, this new system (even though it sucks), is a heck of a lot better.

the idea behind this system was so that people who wanted to pursue the jedi path could keep their current profession and work on jedi at the same time. i think they underestimated the obsession we all have with jedi. it was a good idea in theory as opposed to the massive prof switching that was going on under hologrinding.
on the subject of jedi death...... i hope this post doesn't get deleted for this...... they probably don't want anyone else killing themselves IRL because they lose all their jedi skills.

The current system only makes sense for Dark Jedi though. Light Jedi are not going to be one with the force by killing 1000's of creatures and NPC's. IMHO, all Jedi paths should be completely quest related, not grinding XPormastering every Prof in the book.

The entertainer professions were the easiest grind ive ever done lol, you don't even need to be at the keyboard to master them.
And yes i do wish they would bring back the hologrind.

Trust me, you guys have it so much better than we did it's not even funny. You don't want the hologrind. It sounds A LOT (a lot) more fun than it actually is.

Yes, i didn't hear yoda to tell luke to go hologrind, but then again I didn't hear any mention of killing a million small critters either.
How about a variation on our new system based more on time than mind-numbing grinding. How about make 6 branches, only one can be completed a month, and each one requires about 10 hours without changing your template (commando grenades). It's still a group thinner as to who has the patience to wait 6 months, let alone put in constant work. Oh and make the POI's to unlock FS random per person, with no way to find out except trial and error. Granted we can't have 50% of the population as jedi, but 100% being FS doesn't work either.
