First of all I don't play this game to "have a laugh" I play it for the game itself. If I want to chit chat I'll talk to my real life friends or spend time with my family. Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything wrong with you wanting to joke around with your friends in the game. I'm just pointing out thatsocializing has nothing to do withwhat makes the actualgame fun or good. If you really need to tell jokes between battles you can use guild chat, or team speak or, just send messages to your buddies. Forcing us to stand togeather in a group and shoot at the same creature has nothing to do with the social aspects of the game.
Second, to answer your question "Why does grouping suck". It's very simple, to me it's not as fun. I don't see muchchallangein a game wheresix peopleshoot the same creature while someone else keeps the adds away and someone else keeps us all healed. I like being responsable for my own game. I heal myself, I keep track of adds, I decide what to fight and so on. To me grouping is just as bad as the old systemof 90% composite armor and Doctor Buffs. Where's the challange?
Another thing I hate about groups is exatly the "have a laugh" attitude. A good group doesn't really do much socializing, they cut through creature after creature for the best XP. A bad group stands around chatting and telling jokes which is a waste of time. Like I said if you want to tell jokes, use guild chat.
