Thread: Mellichae was almost solable...but someone FIX HIM PLEASE!!
Kris and I decide, let's see how bad it is in this brave new world. So we head back to my Mellichae spawn, which is right where we left it after the first two times were a bust due to the disappearing bug. Kris is a Master TK and high in Doctor, I am 4-4-4-4 TK and Master Rifleman. My Krayt T-21 is actually worse than a cheap Laser Rifle I bought early in the Rifles grind, so I'm using the Laser Rifle.
I line up outside the first power crystal, and take my shots. I'm doing about 1800 per shot, which is on par with the 423 DPS I'm supposed to do with this rifle. A couple of Thugs spawn as the crystal gets low, but they aren't doing much damage, and while Kris can't heal fast, she can easily take care of what they are sending at me. The crystal explodes, I take out the thugs easily, and move on to the next crystal.
Long story somewhat shorter...Three crystals, 5 thugs/mercenaries, and one Daktar (who took a while to kill but didn't do much damage) later, I have an assortment of 6 mercs and thugs left, along with Mellichae. Going prone, I'm able to pick off the thugs and mercenaries before they can get to me - evidently something told them to melee me, but they never made it close enough. Finally, I have 1 merc left in the tent who isn't paying any attention, and Mellichae. I go prone, and fire at Mellichae. He comes charging, but at least I know I can do 407 points per shot to him (yes, DPS dropped significantly there). So I stand, and I run.
Ever see the Benny Hill Show? That's what we did. I kited the crap out of him. I ran, firing head shots back at him. He was right behind me, and ever so often would land a 400-point hit on me. Kris was behind him, tossing heals at me as fast as she could. Mellichae managed to upset some locals, and there were 2 Gungan mercenaries and a flewt chasing him, landing hits as they could, though not nearly as hard as I was hitting him. They bled him, though only 3 points a tick apiece. There was a house next to the camp site. We ran around that house 6 or 7 times.
So Mellichae is down to about 5% now. I switch to melee, because I want to watch him die. I can't seem to hit him, so I switch back to the gun. He's only got a sliver left, and Kris and I are both at full. I get ready for my final shot.
Your current target was lost.
Oh...my...GOD!!! He depops right then and there. I have never been so pissed at this game in my life. I updated the open ticket I had from 2 days ago, the last time he depopped on me, basically begging someone to help. I logged out, then logged into chat in the Launchpad, and got told that if I opened a ticket, I needed to stay where I was. When I logged back in, same bug...camp is gone, waypoint still there, quest shows complete in my Force Crystal, but shuttling resets the whole thing back to square 1.
My SWG CDs barely survived being thrown out the window. What would you guys do in this situation?

Eight person group and everyone was killed by Mellichae in one hit (well one said he lasted two hits
)
Its gone from being just about soloable to being impossible with the maximum level group. Not to mention that the crystal bug means that we wouldn't have killed him even if we had been able to fight him. It sounds like not everyone is having the crystal bug but I know a lot are
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Chewjedi.
Ethor - What I meant was, he was almost soloable AFTER the CU patch. If that despawn bug didn't happen, we would have taken him out in 1 or 2 more hits. Kris was healing me as fast as she could, and without her doing that I definitely would have died, but by the time we had Mellichae down to that sliver, we were both at full health.
Lil_T - I guess I don't know enough about how the defenses work post-CU to speculate as to why he was hitting me for less than 500 points of damage each time. As for the crystal bug, the only thing I can think of is that the mission was spawned before the CU was implemented. Actually, that may have something to do with why he was hitting me for such low damage as well, even though I was CL 76 and he was CL 134.
Did anyone else experience this? Has anyone else spawned Mellichae pre-CU, "failed" the mission due to bugs, and tried to do it again to the same camp in the same location? I am out of ideas on this one.
