Thread: Sith and how to defeat them???

I am about to become "glowing" finally...but I have a question.

I am a Master Bounty Hunter. I have had trouble with level 60's NPC's. Let alone Sith that are level 75 and 77. How in the world am I to beat these? The only other thing I have right now is the Dirty Fighting Line of Smuggler which I use Feign Death a lot but that isn't going to help me much here. Can you just sit around and stay in a populated city and hope that some folks in the city can help out? Can they attack the Sith or am I alone? How did you defeat the Sith when they attacked? I haven't been visited by the Old Man yet or even become glowing but that should be in a few days and I want to be prepared for this.

You can't be serious?! I am a Master BH. I literally spam away Torso Shot and Advanced Critical Shot at NPC's and creatures at this level (level 60's) and have a tough time winning without getting incapped.

I beg to differ Aeron. I was hunting kryats with some friends last night and there was a guy (in a different group but close to us) that got his visit from the Sith Shadows.

This is the funny part. They aggroed me!! Granted I am close to getting "glowie" but not there yet. I thought it was the krayt hitting me at first so i started running like normal to get out of its range and then attack more. As i watched my radar and HAM the krayt wasn't following me but I was still getting hit but not nearly as much as they usually hit me for. When i turned around to investigate what the H*LL was hitting me it was them the Sith Shadows.

My point to all this is. The Sith Shadows were CL75. Where you say that they are easliy taken out, someone like my level currently as CL65 will not have a chance against them solo.

Grab a friend/guild m8/total stranger.

I killed them recently with my CL 56 crafter alt. I hit each one once with my alt then snuffed them with my MBH/MR main.

Hey Darth, what is your level? If you're level 80, they are easy. If you're 65 like the other guy on here, get a level 80 to join you and you can take them. As a level 80, I can take on4 or 5 level 77-79 at once, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Just go group hunting and everyone in your group can help. Just make sure none of them Loot the Siths. You need the datapad!

These are definitely not the one-hit wonders that they were pre-CU. Pre-CU, I would say they were the combat level equivalent of a meatlump. As for beating them, group with level 80 friends, it's really the best way.

I'm waiting to get my force crystal back after getting ganked by the Sith Outlaws.

I am CL67 and my buddy was 64. We were doing pretty well we thought and then BANG! we were both dead.

I am Master Rifleman/Marksman and have 0,3,2,3 in Bounty Hunter. These two guys made very short work of both of us.

I believe that the Sith who were sent against people before the CU were very different from these. One of my lvl 80 heavy hitter guildies accidentally ran across the Sith tracking me and killed them both, but as he said "tough fight, I barely survived". He is Master Brawler, Master TK and Pikeman.

These guys are no slouches. I'm trying to figure out how to work this out without literally walking around with what are basically bodyguards until it's over.

When I got caught on my own, I got off one shot at them at 65m, they were on me (force speed I suppose, like the force crystal hunters who close from 80m to 3m in the time it takes me for one action), and I was dead.

As a side note, I finally killed them both but only after I got incapped a fourth time. I ended up with the WP, but it's useless without the crystal which they loot from you when the incap you. Once you have the WP but no crystal the Old Man apparently won't visit you again to replace the crystal. Following information from other forum posts I have destroyed the WP hoping that that will respawn the Old Man to replace the crystal and then begin the Sith cycle again. Here's hoping.

I am just 61. So it appears I am no match for them. What about doctor buffs? Could I get that every time I log on and see if it works? What else?

your best bet if you have already had you rvisit form the old man is to get in a group of Cl 80s and stay with them until the sith come to see you. It will be much better to explain this to them before you get the sith visit that way the will be willing to help you and they wont loot them. YOU have to be the one and the only one to loot them.

My guildies refer to this as the "Babysitting" method. =)
But realistically it's the only way if you are not a CL 80.

I had two lvl 80 buddies and a 74 following me around like bodyguards waiting for it to happen. Embarassing, as I am no slouch (CL69), but it was the only way to break the cycle of getting incapped, losing the crystal, killing the Sith and getting the useless WP, dumping it to get the Old Man to replace the crystal and repeating the process.
