Milkchan I'm going toagree with you, I've only play the BH side thus far with an alt of mine and they'rea few that were and are ready. Ones that tell you thank you for showing them a weakness and send you a tell saying good fight and good luckif you lost.

Whena Jedi Knights get upset because a Smuggler has beat them, then turns and tries to find ways that you may have exploited instead of reading the combat log showing howhe/she lost. Proves that some are not ready nor do they understand their Character very well.

I've been here from the start and I have yet to try Jedi nor unlock it. It's something that I choice not to rush into, even though I do the missions for the item reward and to help others.

So, you are doing the FS grind. You see those jedi who PvP in cnet or were ever it is for your server. You want to be apart of it bad. you want force run and a lightsaber! But are you rdy for it? are you willing to pay the price that comes with it? many fo you say "yes!" only a few of you will sit back and think about what it means to be jedi.

Do you get mad when you die? Do you PvP now and send hate tells when someone tripples you? Do you send hate tells and challenge the BH to a duel that just killed your friend? Does it bother you to think you may master the dancer proff before you get your first tier 4 box? Would you rather NOT lose xp and sit in a house for hours. insted of loseing the xp and gaining it back in 1 hour? Will you get angry at any BH that comes and kills you when you cost 25k?

If the answer is yes to any of these you may not be rdy to be a jedi. I myself could have been a jedi alot longer than when i went jedi. but i knew i couldnt handle the responsibilty at the time.I knew i would do the very same thing the jedi would do to me when i was a BH. I knew and understood i didnt have what it took to be a jedi.

What does it take to be a jedi?

Patience

Determination

understanding

forgiveness

Honor

responsibility

If you have any of these things here you may be rdy to be a jedi! Most people will ignore the warnning sighns that they arent rdy and will press on anyways. Some will stop and think and wait till they are mature enough to handle the downs with the ups.

You cant do the things you used to do. like go afk for just a sec to use the bathroom. if you do you will come back dead. you cant run through Cnet real fast to get your bf down. you never know when you are on the terms, and you have to act like you are at all times. You have to be on your guard 24/7 and trust no one! you wont have as much fun doing things like the new quests cause you are too weak to defend yourself. Your whole exsistance as a jedi padawan will be centerd around trying not to get vis.

Are you really rdy to be a jedi? are you really rdy to take on that kind ofRESPONSIBILITY?

I thought this was common knowledge type stuff but it isnt. there are kids out there and even adults who want 1 thing, the glow stick. When they get it they then want to become powerfull and get angry when they end up on the boards and die. They get angry at the BH who killed them afk, they get angry at the BH who made them sit in a house all day. I as a jedi want you to understand that the second you get that jedi padawan title you are now playing the game in HARD mode.

The sad thing is, many jedi today werent rdy back then.Many jedi today will not be rdy now. I recomend that you have fun and do the missions only when you have time. i missed many quests before i became jedi just cause i didnt want to do them. Miss a few, sit back and enjoy the game play whatyou have now. Only start the FS grind when you can honostly say " i will not send a BH 1 hate tell when he kills me and i lose all my hard earnd xp" if you can do this your grind will be alot better and more fun for everyone envolved. trust me i know, this is how i grind.

Be rdy for what you want......

This is very true, play the game don't just rush to be a Jedi. Most people don't understand what it really means until after they have become one. You can't relax, your friends can't protect you and its hard to trust anyone. And not being able to just go AFK whenever can be a real pain.

Having said that it is worth it, just make sure you are ready for it. There is a lot more to the game, experience it all, then go for Jedi.

I never get mad at bounty hunters that hunt me, but to my shame I have hurled the occasional insult at ones who have attacked low level Jedis I have been with. Like I always say, hate the profession not the player

I will give that a 10 out of 10.

I know of one that came to mind instantly while reading this. I will not name any names butthis personis in my guild and I have been instructed by certain people to help this person obtain the glowie status.

I have a slight problem with this person's maturity level. I do not think it is near enough to were it should be for a jedi.

I will continue as instructed to help this person but I have my reserves.

BTW I am slowly working my way to the status myself. Because I feel that I am ready for it.

Great post. I have just recently become glowy, and even though I'm unlocking each phase, I'm still slowly grinding the combat XP to convert. I have no desire to rush in and do it even though most people do it in a heartbeat.

Come on bro, its a game. Getting a jedi isnt that hard and grinding one isnt either. Look at all the noob knights there are. Its a game, and its not like it takes a year to finish your template. I know ppl who finish it in like 3 months because they know what they are doing. You need to think before you speak. Yes if a jedi solo grinds they will take forever but it wont be impossible. But if a jedi is smart and good at evading a bh then they can hunt in groups and almost never be killed. Stop discouraging ppl from becoming a jedi, cause im sick of hearing ppl say it. You act as if its the hardest thing ever to finish a template. Its easy and can be done afk.

The problem is that there are so damn many jedi right now, its unbelievable. The worst part about it is that even the real idiots, or your average leet fanboys are getting them now. I dont mind jedi i mind the 'lol pwned u with mdef' attitude... bit sleepy dont know if i put that right actually.

It is not the fact that there are alot of peeps at jedi now or that the grind can be done in a certain amount of time.

The point is that playing as a Jedi takes ona totally diferent type of playstyle because you cannot be running around out in the open like you were before you obtained the status of Jedi.

I am a strong role-player in the game so I believe the Jedi should behave like they are meant to. What I am saying is that the Jedi Profession is a very lonely solitary type of lifestyle and it should be played that way unless you like being killed alot.

If you choose to be a Jedi and still run around showing off your saber or your status as a Jedi and you are constantly getting hunted and killed by the Bounty Hunters then you have no right to send HATE messages to the ones that hunt you because that is merely what you're asking for. And I believe that was the point of the origional poster.

The problem with there being alot of peeps obtaining the famed Jedi status now is that 70% of them do not understand this and get mad and spam the BH that hunt them.

If you choose to become a Jedi and are not willing to pay the consequences then you need to think long and hard about dropping the profession (not sure if tthat can even be done) or not obtaining it at all.

Yes this sounds like a flame post but it is not intented to be. I am just tired of hearing these new Jedi whine about getting killed and hunted by BHs because the were to ignorant about what it truely means to be a Jedi.

There is alot more I could say on this subject but I am going to stop for now. Because I could go on for hours upon hours about this.

yes here here , I'm one to say that i'll be holding for on jedi for bit. there is i fue more profession i have not dun that i wont to fit in to my bio and i'v been working on that for 2 months now . i konw i have the patience , determination, understanding,(forgiveness) lol this dose not work will with my back round seeing that i plan to be a Dark jedi Knight . Honor, and responsibility . yes i have all theis qualitys and more . but still i wate . i see it as onec i get to jedi i cant go back and there is a fue more things i have yet to do this even ending game...that what drue be to it in the first place , i dont like game i can bet in 10 to 50 hours . and there is not one game out there i cant bet in 50 hours or else and (wow ) dose't count lol i dont like thos types of games . so i will take my time get the profssion i wont try a fue of the mission i wont to do , not all tho lol i wont my jedi to do some qusets too hehe and then all started my path to becoming a jedi
