Thread: Unofficial template thread for FS/Jedi
I don't know about the fs grind now mine was before the CU, I have heard that MBH is good because you can cap on lots of different types of xp. Hunting in groups is pretty easy so probably any combat profession can do it fine.
Going into Jedi TKM is good, along with any other defence or general melee mods you can get. TKM has meditate, powerboost and most important of all, center of being. COB alone will make you pretty tough, and yes you can't turn it on with a lightsaber equipped, but just unequip and then reequip. Thats if you want to solo, which if what I did until I felt I was ready to face bounty hunters as a Jedi. About 20k an hour on my own, but I also had a very trustworthy rifleman friend who helped me grind without ever giving me enough vis to get on the terms and allowed me to get over 50k an hour. Yup it was slowerbut I am proud of the fact thatthe first bounty hunter who came for me died by my lightsaber.
If you intend to group from the start then you want to go with proffs that will help you fight the bounty hunters, I think most people choose rifleman for the damage.

m TKM/m swordsman , Thers no way im dropping tkm, but i would drop a few lines of swordsman, so which scout/ ranger skills should i pick up, keep in mind this is my last respec, so i cant get this wrong I prob wont have alot of eliete points left after i get master scout for ranger, so any1 know the cap for novie ranger?
if you drop a couple lines of swordsman, will you still keep CL80?
CL80 is dependant on 2 Elite Masters. If you drop one master box then you will be a CL78 I believe. If you drop two boxes you will be 76 ect... It all depends on what skills are dropped as well.
The CL really doesn't mean anything to me. I'm very new to the CU, but I'm a MBH/MP/MM and I don't find it easy to solo at all. It may be that I'm getting used to the new specials. Pre CU I would clean up with TKM and Master Doc. They may have nerfed TKM though.
Up till yesterday I didn't know that Stims were based on CL instead of profession. I picked up NoviceMedic to help with healingand found out it wasn't needed.
I would like to know what profession best suits Jedi though. TKM for defence, but maybe Fencer? Or Pikeman?
I'm also curious, i'm taking a new toon through the village having already done it once before but I did it with master doctor/master fencer back then. Now i'm looking at TKM + either pike or 2hand.
As for not being able to solo, my bounty hunter is mrifle, MBH, pistols 0404 and with the right stradegy there's little in the game i can't go up against.
i'm torn on this issue. since it looks like we are going to get 1 more respec i'm not sure if i should switch my ranged profession to a melee 1. my current template is MBH, MR, M marksman, pistol 0003 and keeping ranged skills may help against BH. On the other hand i would assumethat melee skills will more directly improve jedi combat such as saber skills.
Is there anyone out there that has tested both methods and came up with definitive results?
If you only want MBH so you can grind xp then 0444 should be enough, the investigation line is only for NPC and Jedi missions, and I may be wrong about this, some bounty hunters can correct me, but although the conversion rate is good I don't think its an efficient way to get fsxp.
If you are just looking for a melee support profession then definately TKM, but if you actually want to do melee combat then swordsman.
