Hello everyone,

I am a person that likes to plan ahead. Yesterday, I was visited by the old man, so I think it's natural to start thinking about FS exp.

I looked at this page:

http://www.crystalkeep.com/swg/SWGForceSkills.pdf

I am going to unlock the Combat Prowess branches and two of the Enhanced Reflexes branches, so I'm going to have to use combat to get my FS exp. Anyways, my questions are:

1. (I think I already know the answer to this one, just need confirmation) The exp requirements listed in the diagram I linked...those are how much FS exp I need, not regular exp before its converted to FS exp? If that's the case, it looks like a long grind ahead because I'm TKM/Master Doc (one combat profession). So, just to unlock the 175k boxes, I'm going to have to get 5.25 million unarmed exp? If that's the case, so be it (didn't expect it to be easy). Has anyone else used the template I have to grind FS exp? I'm rather attached to my TKM/Doc and don't want to change it if I don't have to (although I'm still in my respec phase if I need to change it).

2. I know that I can only unlock one branch per phase, but let's say that I don't get all of the boxes filled during that phase...can I continue to train phase 1 branch when it's actually in phase 2?

3. Group hunting the best way to go? A friend and I have decided to do the FS grind together, but we only get around 5.5k exp per kill (we're both cl 80). Any secrets/places you wish to share on how you grinded your FS exp?

Thanks for the help.

1) Yep, those are the FS requirements (and yes, it is a long grind, heh). I'm not going to do the number crunching, but I use a similar template (Master Fencer/Master Doc) and especially with the XP caps higher than they were pre-CU, it's not too bad. I ended up dropping the medic skills that aren't required for doc to free up a few skill points, which I spend on swordsman skills, so my two-handed cap is 700k - not much FS, but every little helps. To increase your cap, you might also want to unlock your branches and bank your XP, but not actually train. You can use the skillpoints you would spend on FS to get another combat skill and increase your cap in that weapon.

2) Yes, if a branch is unlocked you can train any time.

3) Group hunting seems the best, yes - get a group at the Dant MO and hunt levl 80+ bols. With inspiration, level 81s give more than 7k weapons XP, so you can cap pretty quick.

Also, if you're going to do any of the heightened senses quests, I wouldn't worry too much about getting medical XP. The conversion rate is *very* favourable now (bols give me 5k plus medical XP if I only heal) - 3 times better than weapons XP. I get a lot of medical XP just by healing people (and myself) when things go wrong hunting bols - it took less than a week of very casual playing to get enough XP for four boxes of heightened senses/healing. Work on getting the combat and weapons XP, and the medic will worry about itself.
