What do you mean exactly? Melee template better for what? Grinding exp or going through the trials?Just tryin to figure out what your asking

I've wondered this myself. I'm currently MBH/MP/CM4000. I was planning on using my token after finishing the trials and respecing to a melee template to aid in Jedi grinding. But considering the changes in Pub 20 to Jedi visibility, does it make sense to use your respec to get max defense for the early Jedi grind, or should I hold on to it?

No. Jedi points are from Jedi skills only.

General melee speed will help with your LS speed.

Melee defense will help you survive, as will ranged defense if you encounter a BH.

Personally, I would save that token. Once you have ground out a few points into Jedi, respec them into something useful.

Example, grinding out all 5 novice boxes, you could give up 4 of them with respec and have 4 points, enough for two level 1 skills.

Or grind out all the way to all the level 1 boxes and then respec. You will likely get a few decent level 4 boxes.

That's what i plan to do. Get novice and bunch of lvl 1 & 2 boxes then respec them to something usefull. Don't know if this will actually work, but i figure the token respec is a gimme anyway, so i'll take what i can get and be happy with it.

or for those that want to save 6.7 million on their jedi grind....

2222 2222 3333 any 3 jedi trees you want =1 mastery

But hey if you want to grind the novice boxes and only gain about 140k xp by all means don't be patient.

Actually 2-2-2-2, 2-2-2-2, 2-2-2-2 = 63 respec points... 1 master box = 63 respec points... you only need tier 2 boxes in 12 branches to get master..
