Well I assumed if it could be done I would still have to unlock that tier. Thanks for the answers, though. I know regular professions weren't that way a year ago or so. I would drop combat xp skills from one prof. and stick them on another. Same with heavy weapons from commando to BH. Guessit haschanged.

it will all go away...and its a pretty hard grind to get back...lol

I've been around since launch day, and it has always been this way. Once you train a skill, the XP used to get that box was subtracted from your total XP, and would not be given back if you dropped the skill later. The XP types might cross professions, so that if you had XP banked already, you could immediatly train a new skill, but thats not XP you got back by dropping the skill. I wish it had worked that way, would have made the old holo-grind really really easy.

Last I heard once you unlock you have to keep them...However when you become Jedi if you bank enough FS points you can go back to village and do a quest to pick up the desired skill you want.
