Thread: I feel like I cheated...

On Wednesday I failed the Melee Accuracy Quest for the 4th time.

I came here in a really bad mood and said I would quit.

However I calmed down and decided not to.

Then I logged back in this morning. I started trying the quest again. I was just about to kill some Sith, I opened my inventory and noticed a Turquoise Light Sabre Crystal. I thought it was odd and wondered where I had looted it from. Then I noticed a Focus Crystal. I then realised these were the rewards for doing the Melee Accuracy Quest. So I decided to check my Journal, I scroll down to the bottom and see the folder for the quest. Unlike the other folders there is not tick next to it, however I open it up and the message in side the folder has a tick next t it.

The quest is complete. So I go to the guy who trains you and I can train in Melee Accuracy, so I do as I have enough XP for all 4 boxes.

So I should be happy, the quest is done and I have my skill boxes. However I feel like I have cheated. I did not complete the quest so why does the game think I have?

The only possible thing I can think of is the way in which I "failed" the quest on my fourth attempt.

I did not actually loot the shield code, instead a friend gave me it. he had just completed the mission but the shield code had not destroyed its self. So I took it and used it on the base. However I then got killed by the turrets. It then said I would fail the mission if I did not capture the commander. I went back to the base but another person in my group captured him and I was informed by the game that I had failed the mission. I was quite annoyed and I wished the rest of the group luck, the person who the commander was following was a Jedi so I was sure they would have no trouble fighting the Sith, then I left.

I went and killed a few Sith and got some codes then logged. That was on Wednesday night.

All I can think of is that the group I left got the commander back to the camp and for some reason I was credited with completing it as I had taken the shield down.

So... that is what happend to me.... It is most odd...

You are so so so lucky. i have been trying to do one of these stupid missions. i cant even get near a base becasue the turrets incap me before i can get near anything. im pretty much on the verge of quitting this game because of this. i'll leave it for a few days and see if i get lucky too.

As long as your group member completes his you both complete the mission. This happened to a guildmate of mine. Don't feel guilty, just congratulate your groupmate for getting you through it. Good Job.

if you were the one who took down the shield, then your part of the mission is complete. as soon as your group member got the commander back to the village then the quest is complete wether you were there or not. that is the way this mission works-1 takes down shield; the other escorts the commander. so there was no cheating involved.

The quest is so bugged that I have to say you didn't cheat anything, The quest is so screwed up that you just caught a break, on your fourth time around.

Apparently even if you fail on taking out the sith, if the commander makes it back, you still succeed. Don't feel bad, if anything you should continue being angry for the fact that SOE has cheated you out of a potentially fun experience.

its ok to be guilty if you feel you really didn't complete the mission. My best advise . . . help others with the same quest. If you assist someone in completeing their own quest, you'll truely feel better as you yourself will have earned the rewards while helping another with the same.

Get three people with probots stay OUT of turret range. Send all three combat droids on turrets it will take them out. We did that last night with few problems. Only major thing was the Probot kep losing agro and coming back. Just keep sending it back in.
