Force Sensitive Archive

I have been waiting for the Old Man to come for the last couple days. He finally comes and I talk to him. He tells me that he has a force crystal and wants me to protect it then immediately runs off before I can even respond. I look in my inventory and quest journal only to see no crystal. What do I need to do to get it? Do I have to wait another 3 days for him to come back or is there another way?
