Thread: Any tips for killing Pirates?
They do spawn you just have to try and remind everyone to tap 'em once and move onto the next.

It sucks, but pirates are the toughest thing to get this phase. It just takes time. It took me 2 rounds, the first I was down to 16 pirates needed. The 2nd round i finished it off. You're only 4 away from my exact counts, so keep at it - you're almost there!

My first time doing phase 4, as a melee prof there was one special I LOVED to use on Pirates, and nobody minded ... Lunge. 20m range, posture down, not much damage ... what's not to love in pirate-tapping?
Dude, what a good idea. I totally haven't used this special in awhile. Ahigh 5for you.

im sorry to say but the pirates are a bit easy they only have 12k ham so any novice elite proffesion can take one down in a few minutes as for taking 5 at once i say master commando or master swords(area attack)
Thanks for all of the tips (but a note for the above poster - the Pirates are more than easy to put down, my question was how to find them in the first place).
Anyway, I managed to complete the quest last night. Took a few pointers from the above posters and it was easier than I expected. My main problem seems to have been that I was jumping in to help other people out too often. Everyone seems to have the same idea - hit the NPC once and run away. The problem with this is that you see some players running around screaming with 5 or 6 NPCs on their tail. Up until now I have been trying to help the group of 4 guys beat up a single thug - while all around me are other players ignoring us and looking for Pirates.
So last night I was totally selfish. Calmly walked around (did not get aggrod a single time) and when I found a pirate I killed him. Plain and simple. Managed to get all the remaining mobs I needed in a single spawn.
