So I got my plant a while ago, slow growth to a Large Plant and in perfect condition.
As soon as I get my Large Plant it health goes to wilting at the current setting (below normal for both water and nutrients)and I keep the nutrients constant and adjust the water to find a non withering status. I first lower the water settings in increments until I get to the lowest setting with no improvements and the occasional withering result, at this point my plant is not in danger and I'm confident that by adding water I can find at least slow growth state. Well I add water in increments to the highest setting with still a WILTING STATE!
I have adjusted water through to the extremes with no positive results and now my plant in in my inventory because it will die if I leave it out!
Something needs to be done with helping people with their PLANTS!!!
I never ignored my plant and did the best I could with it and now it is useless to me. I don't mind having a plant that is hard to grow but to have one that is near impossible to keep alive is NOT GOOD!!!
I get CRAP cause my random roll (for a healthy plant status) is so illogical that I cant keep the friggin thing alive.
Please fix the situation DEVS!!!

Yeah these things can be very difficult to get set up properly. I have two of them now and have noticed some subtle facts about them.
The nutrient/water requirements tend to change when the plant moves up to each new size category.
Within each 'level' of water or nutrient there are actually two levels. What I mean is, if the water level is below normal and you give the plant water once it reads 'Normal', if you then give it water again it still reads 'Normal'. Because of this you will sometimes not notice that sometimes the plant drinks or 'eats' twice per day rather than once.
With the 2nd plant I got, I purchased it already at the large size stage (it had just gotten 'large' according to the previous owner). It was wilting and 'vibrant and colorful', and dry. I gave it water and food etc brought both levels to 'Normal' and after a few days it got to the 'very slow' growth and 'perfect condition' stage. But a funny thing happened today - for a brief period it's growth went to 'none' (first time I'd ever seen that one). I still can't figure that out.
With my first plant, it seems that 'slow' is the best growth rate it ever gets. It fluctuates between 'slow' and 'very slow' every day. I check my plants several times a day and always give them food and nutrient if I notice their levels have changed. I still haven't figured out the second plant.
One suspicion I have is that the change in growth level which is caused by something you change in the water (or nutrients) is not reflected immediately. i.e. if you change the water to the 'correct' setting for the plant, the thing may not change from 'wilting' to 'slow' for a day. If in the meantime you again change the water to another incorrect setting, it may remain at 'wilting' and you will never have noticed that you passed by the correct setting.
Very tough to care for them.

are you trying to show your plant off in a public place? if so that could be the prob. best place is to put in a private structure. from what i have observed the plant updates everytime someone enters your house and it loads . . .so if you put in a private spot it wont suffer from overexposure.

Thanks for responding,
I had read a few threads a couple of times over on caring for the plants prior to the plant getting to the large stage (when my problems started). Also, the plantwas in my private home.
I ampiss&d cause I can't risk trying to find the proper settings anymore (plant is too close to dieing) and I can't get a new one without buying one on the forums for millions, last one I saw auctioned went for 9 million.
This was a cool item that occupied my thoughts and efforts extensively. I feel cheated.
I would appreciate it if the Devs would develope a way to reset the plant. (example - after it has been in a pack for 3 months reset it too small plant, perfect condition)
I don't mind trying again to grow it, I just don't want to loose it
