Thread: New bug now that captain has supposedly been fixed

this may be a bug, it may not, but im sure as hell stuck as to what the heck it is.
Ok, i arrived at the village for the first time and i take a quest from Captain Buttholio and all was lookin good. then i find out i can get two free unlocks (from the holo grindin) and i choose ranged and melee defense.
So i check my crystal journal and it tells me im doing the quest to unlock melee defense (the one i already unlocked with the free unlock). So i realized what dumb thing i did, but its ok. i can move on. So i finish the quest and captain surgillo says "ok, take some r&r, rest" yatta yatta tellin me im done.
Here's the weird part. I went to the csr who was helpin all the peeps in the village who were waitin in line. When i get to him, he tells me im still doing a quest for someone. This struck me as odd because i wasnt aware u could take two quests in one phase. So the csr said he couldnt help me (of all peeps in the game, who could help me, right? -_-). So i go back outside and talk with captain retard and behold, the csr was right. The captain says im doing a mission for someone else in the village.
So what do i do? i checked all the other npc villagers and they say the same thing "you seem busy... you are working for seomeone else" the same stuff. Apparently im diong a second quest for phase 4, but i cant find out who its from, and it wont appear in my journal.
I sent in a bug report, and nothing has happened. the csr in the village wont help me either. what the hell is goin on, please help me.
*note: csr said something about me unlocking ranged speed... or doing the quest for it

Are you sure you aren't working for an NPC that isn't village related? I had a similar problem (not holo unlocks) so I had to talk to a new non-village NPC, get him to say something like: You are working for someone else...work for me instead........then I finished his mini quest...then went back to village.
Give this a try...hopefully it can help you out!

You can only do one quest per phase, There is no problem, just wait til the next phase.

ok, i just tried it. i wasnt currently doing any other quests.
im still back to square 1.
and drav, maybe u misunderstood: the csr said im currently doing a quest in the village (although i had finished captains' 3 days ago). the csr said it was related to ranged speed.

agree. even though you have free unlocks you can only use 1 per phase. you will have to wait.

Since you chose to use a free unlock on Melee Defence, you are now counted as completing that and thus you cannot take another until phase 1 now.
Sorry mate, but you shot yourself in the foot there.
Wait till phase 1 rolls around and you'll be able to take a new mission.
The CSR will not unlock your ranged accuracy, since you already unlocked melee defense this phase.
