Hello all,
At first, I was against grenade grinding. Not because I think it is cheap or anything but mainly cost. I picked up a few crates of grenades and decided to try it out. I am trying to decide if it is really worth it. I am TKM/Master Doc, so I cannot(and will not) go commando, so I can only use C-22 or C-12s. This is how I see it. I can get 120k UA XP every two missions, which takes about 13 minutes(with driving and finding missions included). Then of course there is the convert time. With grenades I am getting about 50k combat from every lair, and this takes about 9 minutes to get all of that XP. I am speding 25k a crate for 200-800 damage, 2.5 speed grenades. Can anyone tell me which is better? And if what I have said about my experience with grenades looks wrong please tell me. I just go out to the lair, use a few UA hit 3s on the lair to get some out, the I start throwing. I use up almost a half a crate this way and it does not seem that efective.
Thanks!

just a quick note. You're going for jedi right? so you'll have to modify you're template anyway. I would stronly recommend getting commando 3000, its about 5times faster and by the end you can simply regrind your old template while you wait for the phases to shift.

Using C12s is pointless IMO unless you have a template that you will not change no matter what. Two elite professions maxed, in a three hour buff give you about 180k combat xp. That is 120k FS xp a buff. If you are fast enough to max your combat xp in that buff as well you are looking at 160k FS xp. With C12s you can max combat and one elite profession in a buff and that's going to give you 130k FS. I am not sure if people are maxing the C12s twice in a buff or not. You have to factor driving time too and from the village. Plus, remember you are going to pay for armor, the grenades, PUs if you decide to use them. As far as the grind .. I can't decide which is more boring. It is close to the same amount of work as doing two maxed professions. But I didn't have it fine tuned either.

I was able to cap it three times in a buff session once.. but it was a one timer.. but I was always able to cap it twice with some unarmed xps too..
And to the original poster.. I also tried to use C22's once. But they gave only about 40xps per kill compared to 3300 per kill with C12's. So I figured out, that C22 are for commandos to use.
I suggest, you use C12s on quenkers with a good armour. This way you will cap 4 branches in 3 weeks, which is 2/3 of the whole grind.

C12s are not a waste of time. Just depends how you use the system. I have no free unlocks. I entered Phase 4 at halfway through. Scrambled to get all 1.25mil fs xp to fill up Melee Def.
The way I see it is I need to get 130k fs xp 10 times during Phase 1. With my template... similair to you (TKM,4,4,4,0 doc) I use grenades to get the combat xp, since you will never cap combat and weapons xp. Without grenades you will only every get 900k weapons xp and 90k combat - wasted trip to the village IMO.
I do roughly 6 giant baz nitch missions to help gain the combat xp to make it a worthwile trip to the village. I get anyway from 1900-3800comabt xp. I usually use 5 grenades (5 stacks, so 25 grenades) per group of nitches.
If you are looking for faster you need to go commando like mentioned.
