If I leave the crystal at home will i then not be attacked by the sith? Any ideas on how to avoid the attacks?

I'm guessing you became FS unintentionally or something. If you don't want to deal with the sith, or you're like a level 1 crafter or something (EDIT: which I just noticed it says right in your sig /doh), you need a friend with you all the time until you get attacked. You will get attacked. If you don't beat the sith, you'll just get the old man again and probably will just go in a continuous loop, sith attack, old man, sith attack, etc.

I wish I could, but im on farstar, waiting for my bodyguards to come online (I havent been online for almost a week, lost the crystal 3 or 4 times due to being stubborn, my factories/harvesters need a bit of tending to, but they cant take the crustal when i dont have it? or.. can they?

actually, if I'm not mistaken, you can't drop the crystal. I think you can put it in your bank, but that's it. I dunno, I never put mine anywhere but my inventory

hmm.. got tirred of waiting, I dropped the crystal at home and went out my front door. For once my house wasnt camped, and I have now been shuttling with succes and checked on my harvesters. Seems as if you can leave it at home and not get attacked

Try seeing if you can tell the old man that you don't want to be FS or the crystal. I think you can turn him down
