Is it possible to use conceal shot during the melichai mission, to whittle down Melichaie or his cohorts or the crystalsm without getting aggro'd? Has any one tried?

Yep! Best way to get crystals.
Better have some TKMs around and a doc or two to heal the TKMs.
Use conceal shot on all the crystals
Use conceal shot on first healing crystal.
When it goes down another crystal starts to the healing process. Conceal shot that one.
When the second crystal goes down neither of the remaiing two can be used to heal anyone but Melichi. But at that time the sith will attack.
About the time the third is almost gone Melichai's partner will attack
Only Melichai is difficult to deal with
While destroying the forth crystal Melichae will attack.
Use conceal shot on all of the crystas until Melchae attacks. After Melichai attackts use everything you have to destry the last crystal.
The crystals must be destroyed before Melichai can be beaten. Melichai uses th ecrystal to hela himself. If you don't get rid of all the crystall then you better hope yuor good friends with the tanking TKMs
use the TKMs to tank the NPCswhile the rifleman to takes out the crystals.
usually can destroy 2 crystals before the sith aggro. Just don't getcloseenough to attract them before the crystals are destroted.
Also killing the sith too soon will cause more to respawn and yuo'll have 2 batches to eliminate.

I just helped someone last night defeat Mell. We had 4 master rifles, 2 master TKM's, a master sword and pike and 1 Master Doc. We were able to beat them very easily...
Just sit in Coronet and ask people if they wanna help, most will say yes...

Isaw a postabout a guy who did it solo using conceal shot. I'll see if i can find the post, or you can do a search and find it. I'm grinding rifleman just to get conceal shot than I'm done with that profession. I'm really a master swordsman type.

yes - conceal shot is the best way.
However, you do not need anyone but yourself and the rifleman. (or yourself if your the rifleman)
Make sure you have rideable mounts (dewbacks/bantha's are the best)
have the rifleman take out the crystals, there is a certain order to do it, ie: you have to kill the one that doesn't auto heal, then find the next one, etc...
after that, have the rifleman take out the sith, one by one.
then - tap Mel, get on your rides and lead him away. then just start shooting him, maintaining at least 25m from him. if you do it right, you can keep him going between you and your friend.
in no time, you will have killed Mel, without much risk.

by stopping conceal, and restarting it, after every 5 or so shots, will that stop the 1 point bleed effect people are talking about?

Nope. It's coded in such a way that there's a chance that if you've been concealing for a time, even after a pause you can get the 1 point bleed. I've done it on nightsisters. Conceal 3x's, peace, Conceal--bleed, nightsister aggro, (stomp stomp stomp).=Dead novice rifleman.
If you have positive faction with certain groups...ewoks, jawas, rebels, imps, whatever....you might try to arrange to have the camp spawn on a planet with a poi that you can drag mellichae to. Might helpif you have turrets helping you out
