I got visited by the old man, while in combat. I was accully doing missions as fast as possible, quickly riding my speeder from mission to mission (i believe i read a post saying you need toWALK outta town and wait a couple minutes to help spawn him faster), and i was attacking the base when he apporached me.

Soi say, you don't need to walk 1000m outta town with no terrain negotiation! Justdo some missions, he'll come eventually. Don't sit around for hours waiting for him.

All you have heard is just what has happend to people, on three of my toons, one was in combat, and two were just walking checking houses outside of playercities..

I have seen the old man just about everyplace, one person got the visit as they landed from doing a vette mission.
