Just wondering how important they are cause to get the ones i want id have to wait for phase 3 to come around 3 times? Are the foundation for your jedi skills or just a pain in the a$$ to make you work for jedi?

Ahh that would be the later rather than the former.

Actually a lot of the skills have direct correlation to skills we've seen from the movies. In name if not in function.

Luke was bulls-eyeing womp rats, zippin around on a speeder bike. Ben was influencing weak minds. Anakin was a saavy crafter that could fix anything...and on and on.

However, game mechanics being what they are, the melee skills will serve you best initially, as well as any defenses. The others are little bonuses but any bonus is better than none.

yea mostly the defenses, and if your not going Defender i dont see 20 melee defense making that big a difference.

here is my take on it.

critical things to get because of the revamp, defense will be an issue then as there wont be anymore defense stacking. you dont NEED them but it definately wont hurt this will elt you over time survve a few more hits longer than another jedi. a jedi battle when both jedi are skilled can last for a long time and these might tip the scale in your favor slightly:
melee defense
ranged defense

speed is a different issue. sabers are PAINFULLY slow in the begining and here is where melee speed can be a benefit. without melee speed expect to spend a bit longer grinding to sabers 4. i dont know for sure nor do most jedi whether this actually works or not but at master your speed capped. rumour has it that all classes in the revamp will have a different speed calculation. i doubt this will apply to jedi as we are already CU revamped.

melee accuracy is unknown if it works but jedi only have 100 at master. if your contemplating a less than master saber build then both speed and accuracy are a MUST since at sabers 4 tech 4 your speed and accuracy are 75 with melee adjustments it pops to 86. i have ranged accuracy and melee accuracy and the difference in hit rate IS noticable.

if there is something you want but you dont want to wait for it then just grind out the XP now and save it for when those skills roll around. you can take up a 7th and 8th 9th box and drop the ones you dont want. your going to be grinding jedi for a long time and doing force XP with normal skills might be a good break for you.

just my two creds....

Sorry to hi jack your thread, but I have a related question, and it not really worth its on thread.

Currently I have:

(1) Luck (free unlock)

(2) Melee Accuracy (free unlock)

(3) Melee Speed

(4) Melee Defense

(5)Ranged Defense (well almost I have the tier 4 block left to do).

I also have Tier 3 of Ranged Accuracy with a spare 100k FS combat prowessxp. This was the first skill unlocked with a quest and at the time I didn't realize that Survival and Vehicular Control could be obtained iwth combat/weapons xp. I have unlocked Survival and will unlock Vehicular Control this phase. My question, is do you think its worth it to abandon the xp I have invested in Ranged Accuracy in order to get eitherSurvivalor Vehicular Control and if so, which one. I've read the various guides, but I'd really be interested to hear from anyone with either of these skills is the +5 terrian negotiation noticeable? How about Vehicular Control? Is it more or less helpful with a swoop vs. an AV-21?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
