Hi, all. Good morning-- well ... for some, at least. Good afternoon / evening to the rest.
I've been following the guides on here step-by-step and I'm glad to say that I feel a surge of the force within me. This has gotten me to prepare for the village and I've been thinking of what would benefit me the most in my current situation. I was hoping that I can get some advice from experienced players. I think this coupled with the "Benefits" section from the guide will help me tremendously. On to the questions and whatnot ...
Right now I'm working on Master Rifleman and Master Ranger (some of you might remember me). Now, I'm wondering what FS skills would benefit me the most for the character I have now? I have no medic skills and along with going for Master Ranger / Master Rifleman, I've picked up Novice Creature Handler. What I'm wanting, is of course, to become a Jedi ... so I'm assuming I should work the FS skills towards that. This is what confuses me because I've read and asked around and a lot of people say that the Melee Defense, Melee Accuracy, and Melee Speed branches will help quite a bit, but, I'm a Rifleman? Should I get the Ranged Accuracy, Ranged Speed, and Ranged Defense instead, or get the Melee branches? Or are they actually talking about it helping me in the long run with a lightsaber? If so, then I'm all for getting the Melee branches!
I was off in Dathomir with a friend who had no scout skills and I was amazed at how I was able to navigate the terrain there compard to him, especially on Dathomir's huge mountains and hills. I don't want to give this up but I'm afraid I have to drop some of Ranger once I master it. What would you recommend for me, Force Sensitive=wise, to get in order to have that type of terrain negotiation for the Jedi that I'll become? Should I work up Enhanced Reflexes: Survival IV? By the way, I would love to still drop camps and harvest creatures as a Jedi ... although I'm not sure if I can do that once I reach Padawan.
The next part is Heightened Senses and I was thinking of getting Healing IV, but, I remembered that I have absolutely no medic skills so it won't benefit me at all ... or will it? Can I heal myself with Healing IV without having Novice Medic? If not, then this leads me to pick either a branch from Crafting Mastery, or pick Persuasion / Luck from Heightened Senses. I have a Droid, Weapons, and General Item crafting tool at the house and I definitely always craft camps and traps. I've been tinkering around with experimentation and I was wondering which branch out of Crafting Mastery would benefit me the most since I'm sure I'll definitely be crafting my own lightsaber later on, as well as camps / traps (if I can).
Last, I hear that a lot of Jedi become TKM and Novice Smugglers (for Feign Death). Once I master Rifleman, should I move on towards TKM, or would rifleman suit me just fine until Jedi Knight (if I go that route)?
I think that's pretty much all of what I had on my mind and covers my situation completely. It's a bit long but I want to cover everything in one shot and I don't really feel like bothering people by coming back and posting similar questions every other hour. But, like I said, that's my "plight" at the moment and the help you'll give me will help me tremendously, I appreciate it ten-fold.

just dont get on the boards and you wont need feign death. vis is totally manageable.
i am keeping master rifles long as i can. i find it invaluable to be able to single pull more difficult monsters taht i can do solo but cant handle as a group. in my opinion rifle is just fine as a supporting skill. you will HAVE to have some medic prefereably 2000 at a minimum.

The reason why many new jedi get/keep tkm is for the added defense. It's been helpful for me, but I wouldn't say it's a requirement, especially if you have any medic.

Well the TKM is very useful. For starters the second you unequip your saber you are ready for a fight. Then you got meditate which at teir 4 gives you the ability to stop bleeding, poison, disease, minor stat boost, and heal all wounds. You also get very good defences as a TK so it seems to be a sound choice for the low level padi. I whole heartedly disagree with medic 2000 as a minimum. You need atleast 2040 until you got some decent healer. Thisallows you to use stim D's and E's. Which gaurentee you a good full heal each use. With a stim B you could get a good heal or you could get a heal for 200. And with the delay at that skill lvl with no diag you could loose that 200 and more before you could heal again.
