Exactly, if a mob gives 6k of weapons XP to a fighter, and you healed that fighter during combat, you will get 6k of medical XP. Key thing is that you have to heal the person while in combat, and if you heal at a time the person had 0 damage and you see "[yourname] heals [their name] for 0 points of damage", then you won't get any XP.
Careful with the bacta spray though as it tends to get mobs aggro on you very fast. I used bacta toss a lot.

Clarification: You would only get 6k of medical XP if you were the same combat level as the fighter. You would probably get more if you were a higher level. As a Master Doctor/Master Rifleman (CL 80), I was getting 13k+ medical xp per kill (counting an inspiration buff and double XP), but if you were only CL 40, I would expect you'd get half of that. This is also relative to the highest level of the group you are in, but let's not complicate the situation any more than it needs to be ![]()
