Ok, I'm sure this is sticked (I have read the FAQ) but I need to make sure this is the case before I screw up big time

Can I "unlock" the trees I want but **not** go up them until I unlock everything? If so, I can bank all the force exp w/o hitting a cap? I dont want to gimp my current toon having to drop stuff that wont do me any good until I go Padawan (IE combat melee stuff)?

I apologize again if this has been asked 1000s times and answered... I know how it can get annoying...

you can unlock them without having to go up them. but you must fill up 6 rows to start the padiwan trials. and you cannot drop below 6 rows once you go padiwan.

Can I bank all the force exp w/o hitting a cap? I know there are different force exp categories in the village so I know I'l need more then just converted combat exp... I'm just wondering if I can just calculate what my toal FS exp is going to be, unlock all the slots, then with the last unlock train all the way up in the 6 rows so I can get full use out of my current toon before going Padawan (I know there is still an exist quest from the trials, I just dont want to gimp my ranged toon with FS melee crap till then).

There is a 5 million XP cap per FS XP type (Combat, Reflex, Senses, Crafting). 5 million is enough to fill 4 lines, and there are only 4 lines available for each XP type.

You can actually do your entire 6 lines with only combat-related XP. Both FS Reflex and FS Combat convert from weapon/combat XP, giving you 8 total lines available from combat XP.
