Sorry to hijack your thread but I have two questions that I though I'd slip in here. >.>
At what point does your second character slot open? And, also, once you have opened that slot are the skills you used to get to Jedi dropable? In other words, are they like other professions where you could remove them if needed and go down an entirely different profession path?
I ask because, for numerous reasons, I want to unlock the alternative character slot then make that chara my Jedi, bringing the original back to what they used to be (with no force sensitivity or Jedi-ness).
Apologies for the quite apparent idiocy of this post, but replies would be appreciated.

You unlock the new slot when you reach padawan, and once you reach padawan, you can't drop it, so basically that first character will remain a jedi. Also, after you reach padawan, you can't have fewer than 6 branches of FS, so even if you don't grind out your paddy, you'll still have 24 sp tied up into it forever.
