Give any clue to the quality of the crystal? Or could a crystal with 1220 Condition be the same quality as one with 780 Condition?

no. it doesn't matter at all regarding the quality.

i've had crystals w/ 1500 condition come back as poor and ones w/ 700 condition be good...so no..as far as I can tell..it doesn't matter!

Ok cool but is it also random what lvl mob you get the crystal off of?

The higher level of the mob the better "quality of crystal/pearl. The loot tables are level based. Krayts only drop "Good" pearls no matter if from Juve's or ancients. NS's Elders drop "Good" crystals. Canyon Corsairs drop Fair I believe. nothing above "Good" drops since the DJM/DJK missions have been nerfed. not sure if the level 110 guys outside of Dant are still dropping crystals though.

right now premiums drop but according to tiggs the cl has to be from something over like 287 and this is only killable in a group. also the condition doesnt matter its all random

DJK's and DJM's on Dantooine can drop "Quality" crystals, have gotten several from them.
