Thread: Sith WP Bug???

I finally got my second char force sensitive. The old man already came and I was waiting for the sith to attack me.

I landed in a player city and before it switched from the loading screen to the game view, both shadow sith were dead. I looted them and got the disk with the WP, but everytime I try to use it, it says:
"You first have to loot this item to extract any information from it"

What is this?? Bug? Known or unknown???

I just had the same problem, then my sith respawned, and I got another disk, which worked.

But when I got to the waypoint, nothing was there, or around there, and the waypoint disappeared.

Same thing happened to me. I got the waypoint to work by logging in/out a few times - turns out it was basically inside a player's house. I find that the trick to getting the Sith (or any enemy) out of a wall is to bring another mob nearby and do an area attack of some sort. Hope this helps.

Similar prob here. Looted the first set of sith, went to the wp and nothing was there. The wp keeps appearing in my datapad, but nothing has ever been there. The Sith haven't visited me again yet either.

I had basically the same problem. I jumped panets and came back and everything was fine.

SOLUTIONS

PART 1

I had the "wp disappeard without a trace" thing.

Instead of sending a ticket, try this first (faster):

  • Zone to another planet

  • Zone back, but make sure you are more than 1000 meters away from you target

  • Then run to the target destination. Do not use bikes, mounts, or even /burst. Just normal run.

The quest journal should update when you are around 200 - 300 meters away from the target destination. If it doesn't update before you arrive, you will find that, when you do, the waypoint disappears, and no sith thugs will be there to drop the crucial datapad.

The problem could be that you are approaching the target to fast, so it doesn't have time to spawn. Who knows?

If the above doesn't work, call CSR or 911, whichever suits your needs.

The above was a tip from CSR-JasonC. He said it worked sometimes. And then he said "sometimes" one more time.

PART 2

If mobs are stuck behind walls (or rather in them), trees or other impassable objects, find someone with rangedarea attack and have them shoot at you (or you at them), in the direction the mob is standing.

This should hit and aggro the mob, even though he cannot see you.

I used this alot as a BH back in "the days", when bounties spawned inside stuff. I dunno if it still works, though.

Good Luck
