better than my friend who has played for 16 months, did her first hologrind, then couldn't handle rifleman, but ended up doing 6 other professions. i thought SOE could have rewarded her with 1 unlock, just a thank you for paying for this game for that whole period. no. she got dicked. just like everything else they've done with the game, half-ass and poor quality. now she's dealing with the whole melee accuracy quest. bleh, starting to think the whole CURB isn't worth the wait. no doub it will be screwed up like everything else they have done.

The calculation was 4 holo and 4 secret professions. You get 1 free unlock for each profession after the first 2 holo ones (so 2 holo prof + 1 for each secret one you managed to get)

Therefore, the minimum you will get is 2, maximum is 5 assuming you didnt master your 8th applicable profession (as you would have unlocked anyway unless you mastered it during the phase where unlocking was forbidden close to the publish 9 changeover)

how do you determine ahead of time how many free branches you get?

I did all 4 holo's and a total of 15 prof's what's MINIMUM number of free trees I can expect?
