When you get the mission for the next crate, will you fail the mission if you have someone at the village kill you, so you can be cloned?

You cannot die while on the quest.

I could be totally wrong but the way I understand it is that if you pick up the quest, you can die up until the point you reach the crash site and get the supplies. Then once you do have them, you cannot die again until you reach Whip.
