Ok, I believe that I read a post on another forum regarding the effects of being a FS crafter and that it is not worth the work if you already cratft in a research center. To clairify, being FS is equal to living in a Reseaarch Center when crafting, and if you already craft in a Research Center, then FS skills adds nothing.

Any truth to this?

I don't know. I currently craft in a research center and while I do okay, I still suffer more critical failures and non-amazing success' vs. a crafter that's only difference from me is FS Crafting Mastery. As an armorsmith, nothing is worse than a critical failure an a health-enhanced peice of armor and I'll do everything I can to keep that from happening!

I am a 12 pt Weaponsmith and I say it is totally worth it. In my research center, with my +15 tools, +43 Station, and my FS bonuses, I get only Great successes and about 33% of the time they are amazing. If I drink a Bespin port, I get an Amazing Success about 80-90% of the time. If you are a Crafter, and plan to stay one, like me, then this is something you should have.
