I dont get it. I'm not trying to flame but some people expect to be able to do this whole FS thing right off the bat of creating your character. I think the way it is now is fine. The Sith arent hard and yes they do require you to be a good fighter. That way new players have to get some skill before going jedi. I think its fine personally....

how about everyone else?

No complaints here, arent jedi supposed to be excellent at combat? What about Mel for the village exit quest? If you can't take out the Sith to get in the village, you sure arent going to make it through Mel to get out!

The simple solution is bring a friend or 2n nerfing is not neccessary!

Well I am just about to start dealilng with this in fact. My character was a Crafter (Master Weaponsmith, almost Master Merchant, Artisan and enough marksman to handle visiting harvesters and factories). I am now glowie, have had my visit from the Old man, and at CL14 know I am going to die repeatedly until I give up all the work I have done to get Master Weaponsmith and spec into several combat professions long enough to deal with the Siths and then the FS missions, and then I can switch back to my Weaponcrafting. I did this knowing it would be required but its annoying as hell. I don't see any reason why the Siths that come couldn't be equal in challenge to suit your CL and only killable by you. I think that would make it a reasonable challenge still.

As it stands now, I know I am going to be dying repeatedly to Sith NPCs and waiting for Old men to show up until I skill up, probably for a few weeks. In the meantime the Merchant skill I have will have to be sacrificed to gain Combat Skills so I can become a FS Crafter and unlock the free slot (I *might* go Jedi but I highly doubt it, it seems way to FOTM for my tastes, but a second character slot absolutely frickin rules!

Jhonto - Elder: Architect, Artisan, Chef, Droid Engineer, Merchant, Tailor, Entertainer, Image Designer, Politician, Bounty Hunter, Marksman, TKM, Creature Handler, Ranger, Scout, Doctor, Dancer and Musician
High Plains, Tatooine (3356, 7212), Tarquinas

Jindi Jaw'aqti - Half Bothan/Half Jawa Spy. Regimental Sargeant Major, 15th Stormtrooper Regiment, Ft Palpatine, Lok.

I dunno, personally I think if you're "BAD" enough to be a part of the sith shadow gang, then you shouldn't have any problem with someone who barely knows how to pull the trigger on a blaster I do see how it can be annoying though, I was a weaponsmith for about 7 months and after the CU I got pwned a few times by peko pekos, lol

Oh I knew I was going to have to level up as combat again. I have been there before. Actually so far I think I have mastered Droid Engineer, Merchant (almost twice now), Artisan (twice), Creature Handler, Rifleman, Doctor, Carbineer, Shipwright, Marksman of course, and probably a few others - although some of those were during the mad respec phase when I tried a lot of combinations and ended up MCarbineer/MBH/Pistol0404 I think. My friends laught and say I am Master ofRespecs

I am hardly looking forward to remastering Rifles and whatever else I pick but its probably a drop in the bucket to what I will have to do to get my FS slots once I have used up my leftover experience points in everything, so its no biggy.

I would like to be able to get past the Sith phase though so I can start working on the FS skill trees thats all

Personally I think they should revise the Jedi path so it is 100% quest driven with no grinding, the grinding mechanic for getting FS slots filled seems kinda like a adhoc method intended to slow one down, but is hardly in keeping with the epic story of someone becoming a Jedi Knight. While they are at it, they could generate a whole different series of quests for those who choose the Dark Path to become a Sith and give the two types of Jedi different powers. I think it would augment the game, although all of this needs to be balanced with some way that keeps Jedi from exposing themselves in the big cities

I am *not* looking forward to regrinding Weaponsmith though. I spent a ton of cash on resources to grind that during double exps time and now its all going to be for naught it seems

If you don't want to level up so you can beat the Sith then don't go Jedi and stop complaining.
