I agree. I was on Dant. earlier today and trying to find a group was difficult. I'll be there tomorrow after I get my first quest in phase 4 unlocked. If you're on send me a /tell. I'll group with anyone. After all, I remember when I first started hunting on Dant. It was hard getting invited to groups but when I did, I leveled pretty fast. Time for me to give back some of what I was given.

Now when trying to level my Jedi, it's nearly impossible to find groups that once flourished in the Mining Outpost on Dantooine. I finally do find a group, and because I'm doing such a low damage output with my saber, I get a "Sorry man, but we need your spot in the group for someone who will help us kill faster" from the leader and a "You have been removed from the group" message.

I completely 100% agree with the Dev team that something had to be done with XP as it was just coming in too fast, and I feel that, even as a Jedi, the Jedi grind should be a long(er) enduring one.

While the XP itself may be working as intended as the Dev's say, I believe the unexpected consequences resulting from it definitely are not, which is why I am confident a change will be made to make it a little more fair.

What consequences you ask?

- No one wants to group anymore

- Low level new characters / Jedican not get in the few groups that are still running because of what I said above

- The CU was intended to push and encourage grouping over soloing (the latter being the preferred grinding method pre-cu). Now, this publish (whether they intended or not) is pushing soloing over grouping, but without changing the perks that came with grouping and the cons that came with soloing instituted by the CU. This makes for one big mess.

There are plenty more I assure you, but these are the three that stick out most in my head. All other points loosely revolve around these three main issues.

Thoughts? Comments? Please share them here.

They are reverting to the pre-pub 22 XP system, but I have to ask...

If you were booted from the group for not doing enough damage fast enough, how is the XP reward that you get going to affect that?

Whether you get 8k or 1k per kill, your damage output would still be low and you would still have been booted, wouldn't you?

They are reverting to the pre-pub 22 XP system, but I have to ask...

If you were booted from the group for not doing enough damage fast enough, how is the XP reward that you get going to affect that?

I don't believe I understand your question...

I would assume the only reasonthey were booted was because the xp was divided between all the group memebers. Now that the xp has been switched to pre-pub 22 xp, most groups dont care if your damage output is low, so long as they have at least a few people with a higher dps.

Exactly right. Pre-Pub 22 a group of 3-4 Elite profs (anything from CL56 upwards, which people seem to forget, you only need 1 CL80 to get CL80-82 missions) could tag on 3-4 "lowbies" at no real expense. Their damage wouldn't change the speed up much but they could get some xp and hang out with some longer term players and learn about the game, or just soocialise as guild members. Pub 22 meant that every single group member had to be doing the maximum damage possible or else they were a drain on xp/hour to everyone.

And so grouping died. I'm sure we'll still get an xp reduction, and I think it's needed really, but it shouldn't be as harsh and it needs to not destroy disparate class-grouping however they implement it.
