Do I need to be master medic for the phase IV village quest?

If not, what lines in the medic tree would benefit me the most to complete this quest?

Also, what should I bring/wear etc to the village?

If I recall, phase 4 has the village overrun by sith. The healing quest i think can be done by anyone, you just need to be grouped with and heal 50 different people during the battles.
