And it doesn't appear to do anything. Just a broken cybernetic arm, no mods listed.

Also looted wound pack off Dakar and some other worthless thing off Mel. did the mission for a friend as well and he got nothing of note off his Mel & Dakar either.

Same here......

You put the arm up on the wall......and then you can tell stories to your grand kids......."one day this old man came by and asked me if I wanted to be Jedi and I said sure.....and I killed this person and ripped off his cyber arm and here it is."

Hard to kill where?

Kill crystals per rifles... max 1 Sith comes out

Move in to Mel in a direction where his guardian isn't and he will aggro long before any siths does because he's aggro radius is far more great then all the others...
Or shoot him once and burst run, he's the only who will only stop follwing till he or you are dead...

So where's the problem? did this mission now over 18 times only the first 2 times i got killed because i was too fast and didn't watch the moving of my opponents...

and the last 2 times I nearly soloed it just had to wait for the quest owner to scratch him oncee

Little Tip: He's only lvl 85 so be an Upper Tanker or have root and snare

Yea gotta say if you feel you got nothing out of killing mel maybe jedi is the wrong path for you after all... back when I did it I dont think I even tried to loot him I just ran for the nearest force shrine in excitement..

Does anyone know if he always dropped a useless cyber arm or is this something new when they released robotic limbs?

In the past he ony dropped credits and a random loot as any other Sith too
