Thread: An essentially pointless post, sort of...heh.
So I'm trying to decide whether or not to "go for it" and do the other 5 unlocks and actually go for Jedi. It's 36 MILLION XP per branch which is kind of scary. No, it's not "hard", just requires a hell of a lot of patience and I just don't know if I have it. How long on average is it taking people to do a branch? Is the limiting factor the 3 weeks between phases, or the 36 million XP? I'm just not sure.
Some people want jedi soo hard that they spent all their time online hunting in area / spin group (whatever you call them), for them there is quick xp and the time limit must be the 3 weeks between phase.
Some people just grind when they feel like it, and do not spend all time on that. For them xp is the limit.
Depends of you, really. Yes, xp grinding is boring, and you'll have to grind more xp after initiate. How hard do you want that glow stick ? ![]()
I got glowie by mistake, I was purposefully not doing the Imp themepark but got glowie without it?! That was before all the new content badges were available as well.
But anyway im glowie but notreally bothered about becoming a jedi yet as there is so many other profs I want to try out first, so I am doing the FS quests and unlocking the branches just for something to do and then Im just going to let the XP build naturally as I get on with the game, and make the odd trip to the village every now and again. Eventually when I am ready to try Jedi I will have all 6 branches unlocked and a good proportion of the FS XP banked.

That is a great way to work the system, Bren. Enjoy the game. There really is much more than Jedi and with your plan, you will eventually get it and enjoy that aspect as well.

So, like, I've been FS (glowy, old man visit, sith dead, sith camp dead, ready to goto village) for like ... a month or a little less. I even went to the village and did the Survival quest (and /rude @ whoever designed that quest... Oh yeah, let's have people lead NPCs THAT WALK AT A SNAIL PACE 1-2 kilometers back to the village ON DATHOMIR...GOOD IDEA!!!!) and unlocked that branch.

Well, I'm in the middle of my 5th unlock quest, so will have all 6 unlocks in around 2 weeks.
I've just been enjoying the game, and not really worrying about grinding FS XP, though this has left me with 6925000 FS XP to go!!! I just get bored of grinding.
However, having just discovered the amazingly fast XP of AOE groups and being so close to unlocking Jedi, I've decided to spend the next 3 weeks or so AOE/Spin Attack Grinding. I reckon I can cap all my weapons XP in an hour this way. Just 63 caps to go...
If you aren't sure if you want to do jedi, play your character to have fun but just go to the village and convert xp. Then if you are ever bored, you can go to the village, do a quest to do the quest and get the reward. Have fun and you will slowly save up FS xp, and have branches unlocked for whenever you decide to train in FS skills and start the path to jedi.
