but I've finally completed the FS grind onSunday, January 30th. I've seen just shy of 2 full cycles of the village, and I had 2 free unlocks. Yes, I am certainly a casual gamer, so it can be done folks. My methods were weapons xp and grenades for 3 trees and rez/kill for one tree (the other 2 were freebies). And I'm finally finished.
Now that I'm done, I think it was beyond stupid that the devs made us grind in order to grind, essentially. We had to grind our asses off to finish the village, and now we have to grind to survive as a Jedi. That's all I'm saying.
Now I await Ye Olde B'astard.
Good luck to you all....

congrats.
while you may think of the jedi portion as a new grind, personally i'd try to change that train of thought. Or you're going to be sick of grinding within a few months and not enjoy your new Jedi at all.
good luck in your Padawan trials.

Oh, I fully plan to enjoy my Jedi. It's the only profession I've wanted since this game was released.
I don't plan to grind it at all, just take my sweet time with it and enjoy every moment of being a Jedi.

your grind is just starting you need to kill400+creatures just to get1 level 1 jedi skill. Thatadds up toabout3-4 sets of 3 hour buffs that you will need to spend grinding before you even have your first level 1 jedi skill.

This post right here is the reason people get disheartened by Jedi.
Negativity breeds negativity.
Unfortunately, people such as the above, don't realise that there's more to the game than just a constant xp grind .
I've noticed, however, that the new breed of Jedi that're currently doing the fs trees, are seemingly a lot more enthusiastic about becoming a Jedi, for all the right reasons. Enjoyment.
Many seem to be wanting to hit Jedi to be able to roleplay a character they've been after since joining the game.
So while you'll still see negative posters such as the above, who have one train of thought on how to play MMORPGS (which while not the wrong train, isn't the most enjoyable by far), there are many others who'll be able to balance it out with how the game is not a giant grindfest and offer information on how they actually have fun just "playing" the game.
Remember, you play the game. Don't let the game play you (that's what happens when it becomes one giant grindfest, going nowhere fast)

Thank you all. And if I can do it, anyone can. I really am a casual gamer. Granted it took 5 months of "grinding" every time I was online, but I was still able to do it. After a year and 7 months...I finally get to play what I bought this game for...a Jedi. I fully plan to RP and live the life of a Jedi. It's gonna be great...I'm totally enthused folks, and I hope you all will be as enthusiastic when you get here too.
It's only a matter of time.
